Chapter 22

Chase's POV:
I couldn't believe that she was here. Another ball of fear rose in my stomach. It was Macey she is probably the worst person on the planet. I thought she moved after she got expelled. She used to beat me up constantly because I was trans and smaller than her so she could. I turned around and tried to walk away but it had been too late. She already saw me.
Macey: " Hey Chasity dont run away"
She grabbed my arm to prevent me from walking away
Chase: "please stop im here with my sisters"
Macey: "oh i know I saw you with them. Heard you explain your disorder to them"
Chase: "I don't have a disorder. Im not sick.  Im trans"
Macey: "The first step to recovery is acceptance Chasey girl"
Chase: "Leave me alone."
Macey: "What for I'm just catching up "
She looked at me up and down
Chase: "i need to take the kids home.  Let go"
Macey: "You're pregnant. Who's the baby daddy. Drew? Are you still his little-"
Chase: "Stop"
Macey: "He is your baby daddy huh?"
I refused to look at her and she scoffed at me.
Macey: "You stole him and then you tried to trap him"
Chase: "I did not"
Macey: "He was mine first and he'll be mine always."
Chase: "No, he won't"
Macey: "Then why'd he hit me up? Hmm girlie? I dont think it was to talk"
Chase: "Your lying"
Macey: "Meeting him at mine soon. Matter of fact i should go hes probably waiting for me."
She let go of my arm and walked away. She was lying right? Thats not what he was doing. I called the girls over and told then we had to go home. They werent too upset because we had been here for an hour and a half <its 5>. On the way i couldnt stop thinking about what Macey said. Would he really run back to her ? No way. I droppee the girls off and took Shadow back home. I got a text from Sofia saying that she had to work late so not to worry about serving her anything for dinner. Shes been working late a lot and it worried me. But i brushed it off and went inside.
"Looks like ite just us Shadow"
She looked up and me and wagged her tail. I put her harness and leash back onto the hook and grabbed a post it off the mirror that i didnt care to check. It was another note from Drew. Saying he'd be home by 6. I looked at the clock it was 5:28pm. I figured if i started dinner now he should be home before i finished, so i started.
I was wrong though. He wasn't here before i finished or when i finished. It took an hour and a half to finish dinner because i kept getting distracted doing random little side tasks and jamming to my music. It was 7:15 and he wasnt home yet. I tried to ignore the stress i felt and served dinner. I set a plate on the table for Drew and served him. I figured maybe it took a little longer than expected. Macey would say anything to get inside my head i didnt want to let her, but she was. I checked to make sure Shadows bowl was filled, she has an automatic feeder but sometimes it doesnt pour out.
7:55- I finished dinner but Drew isnt home yet. I put a napkin over his plate and told myself he's going to be home soon. I was scared though. What if he had been hurt? I wish he told me what he was doing.
I packed up the food and washed all the dishes. Its 8:36 now, i sighed and took his plate off the table. I replaced the napkin with some foil and left it on the counter. I went into the living room and sat on the couch. I clicked it on and started watching TV. I fell asleep and woke up to the sound of the door opening. I figured it was Sofia and kept my eyes closed. I was still mostly alseep. I heard the door click and whoever it was put their key down. They came into the living room and i realized it was Drew when he slid onto the couch and put his arm around me. I opened my eyes and looked at the clock.
10:26pm.
I didn't look at him, i was upset with him.
Drew: "Hey babe how was your day"
I ignored him and got off the couch. I started walking upstairs towards our room.
Drew: "Babe are you okay?"
I ignored him and got to the top of the stairs.
Drew: "Babe whats wrong?"
Chase: "Are you really going to ask me that right now?"
Drew: "Why are you mad! Chase what's wrong"
Chase: "Whats wrong? Whats wrong!? Whats wrong is that i was harassed by some randon guy. Whats wrong is when i woke up in my bed I wanted to see my boyfriend. Not a note that said he had stuff. Whats wrong is he went out and didnt tell me where he was didnt tell me what he was doing and just let me worry. Whats wrong is i went to the park and saw Macey Santoni. Whats wrong is she told me she was your booty call. Whats wrong is you said you'd be home at 6 and woke me up at 10:30 trying to sneak back in"
Drew: "Babe I'm so sorry i didnt mean to worry you. Its not like that. I cant stand Macey and i couldnt even call her if i wanted my phone was turned off my mom didnt pay our phone bill"
Out of no where i got a sharp pain in my stomach and fell to my knees. I started crying because I was afraid of losing the babies.
Chase: "Hospital right now please"
Drew ran up the stairs and picked me up. I didnt want to stand so he carried me to the car. On the way he called my dad
Drew: "Im taking Chase to the hospital"
