Brynn's POV:

I nervously took a breath as Auston rubbed circles back and forth across my hand. I laid a hand on my stomach and leaned my head back against the wall, possibly preparing myself for the worst. The nurse called my name and walked me back to a room.

"Please make yourself comfortable. The doctor will be right with you." She told me.

I sat back and sighed as I rubbed my temple. "Relax," I heard Auston day. "Lets not think of the worst."

I nodded but couldn't help myself as bad thoughts quickly swirled my mind. A knock sounded on the door pulling me out of my own mind. He walked in and smiled at me as he took a seat in front of the bed I was seated on.

"Good evening Brynn, Auston. What seems to be the issue?" He asked us.

I spoke up immediately. "Well after the game I went to use the restroom and there was some blood stains."

The doctor nodded. "Was there a lot?"

I shook my head. "Just a few spots here and there."

He gave me a smile. "Well I'm sure it's nothing to be worried about. Just to make sure though, we'll have a look at that baby of yours alright?"

I nodded as Auston squeezed my hand. The doctor pulled up my shirt and put some gel on my stomach as he went around in small circles. He looked at the screen before reaching over to turn up the sound.

"Now listen carefully for me." He told us.

The baby's heartbeat rang through the room as I let out a sigh of relief. "Healthy baby, happy parents."

He handed me a paper towel as I wiped my stomach off and he turned the lights back on.

"So there is nothing to worry about?" Auston asked again.

"Not at all. I wouldn't say what happened to Brynn is normal but most mothers have spotting periods every so often in a pregnancy. As long as it's just a few drops. What I would say is this was probably caused by stress. Try to relax. Perhaps a good days rest would be helpful. A stressful mother isn't good for the baby. If anything else happens please feel free to come back in alright? You guys are free to go." He smiled at Auston and I as he walked out of the room.

I closed my eyes and brought my hands up to my head as I rubbed my temples and felt a kiss lain to my stomach.

"You gave us quite the scare little one. How about no more surprises from here on out." I heard Auston say as he kissed my stomach again.

I brought my hand down to his head and ran my hand through his hair. "You ready to go home?"

I nodded and he helped me off the bed as we walked out of the room and to the exit of the doctors office. "Just like I said. There's nothing to worry about." He told me as he kissed my forehead.
