Auston's POV:

I laughed as Mitch pretended to argue with Elle about what nail polish she should use to paint his fingers. I kept my arms wrapping loosely around Brynn's waist as she leaned her head back on my shoulder. She was on the phone with Jess as I heard a knock on the door. I got up from my spot on the couch and opened the door. Everyone stopped what they were doing at the sight of Jordyn. Mitch picked up Elle, while Brynn quickly ended her phone call.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her.

She smiled and held up a small bag stuffed with pink tissue paper. "I wanted to give something to you and Brynn. Sort of an apologetic gift."

Brynn slowly stood up from the couch and walked towards the door with one hand on her lower hip. She looked at Jordyn then the bag. Jordyn handed it to her, as Brynn took it hesitantly.

"You can come in," Brynn said quietly.

Jordyn nodded and slipped past me as I closed the door. I looked at Brynn as she hadn't opened the gift yet. Jordyn sat down on the couch Mitch was on, and I held in my laugh as Mitch slowly scooted as far as he could to the opposite end of the couch with Elle still in his arms. Brynn waddled back towards the other couch and sat down as she let out a breath.

"So how far are you?" Jordyn asked with a smile.

Brynn looked down at her stomach and smiled as she rubbed it. "Just about there. 33 weeks. She's about the size of a pineapple."

Jordyn nodded. I sat down next to Brynn as she finally opened the gift. Brynn pulled out the pink tissue paper and lifted a small Matthews jersey out of the bag. Brynn and I smiled at the jersey. She turned the jersey around and laughed at the back.

"Baby K. Number thirty-four. This is really sweet Jordyn. Seriously. Thank you." Brynn told her honestly.

Jordyn nodded her head. "Of course. I realize that I was the source of the problem, and I wanted to find some way to be the solution."

I put the jersey back in the small gift bag and sat it on the floor. "It's great Jordyn. Thank you."

She beamed at my statement. "That means a lot to me Auston."

I heard Mitch clear his throat as Jordyn stood up. "Well, I don't want to overstay my visit. I just wanted to group that off before she was born. Again congratulations. She's going to have the best parents."

Brynn nodded with a small smile as Jordyn waved and walked out the door. Mitch looked at us with a confused look.

"Now that was weird." He said.

Brynn nodded with a laugh. "This is a new place. How did she even get our address?"

My eyes widened. "That is a really good point."

Mitch busted out laughing. "Maybe she's stalking you guys."

I laughed with Mitch as Brynn chuckled. "Well I'm heading out. Thanks for having me over for lunch."

I closed the door behind Mitch as I turned towards Brynn who was staring at the gift on the table. I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her forehead.

"What's got your mind running?" I asked her.

"I don't know. Maybe Mitch is right. Maybe she's stalking us. I mean how else would she have gotten our address." Brynn said.

I shrugged. "I haven't talked to her since that last encounter at the game. She didn't get it from me. But I doubt she's crazy enough to stalk us. I mean I feel like she's smarter than that."

Brynn looked at me with a raise brow. "She was crazy enough to show up to a game and think you'd take her back right in front of me."

I chuckled as I nodded my head. "Touché."

Brynn sighed as she put both her hands on her stomach. "I don't know. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but I'm about 7 weeks away from my due date. I don't want to chance it Auston."

I nodded. "I can call my mom and see if you can stay with her in Arizona."

Brynn shrugged. "I don't want to burden her. Maybe I can stay with my brother."

"Jordyn lives in Los Angeles. I'm sure as hell not letting you stay in the same city as her. How about Jess and Freddie?" I asked her.

She nodded. "I call Jess right now."

She grabbed her phone and pressed call on Jess' number. Jess answered almost immediately.

"Hello love, what's up?" She asked.

"Can I stay with you for a little bit? If it's not too much of a bother." Brynn asked.

Jess spoke up. "Of course you can. My home is your home. Just come on over anytime. I'm here all day. Can I ask why though?"

I spoke this time. "It's a bit much to explain on the phone. We'll tell you when we get there."

"I understand. I'll see you guys in a few." Jess replied.

She hung up as I laid Brynn's phone down. "I'll help you pack."

She nodded as she walked off towards the bedroom. I sighed and looked back at the gift bag on the coffee table.

"How did you get our address?" I asked myself quietly.
