Brynn's POV:

I smiled as Auston walked down the hallway in front of me. He had Elle sitting on his shoulders and was swaying side to side as they both sang a Moana song. I continued to giggle as I pulled my phone out to record it. Elle let out a screech causing people to turn and look at us.

"Elle Lively! Stop shouting." I said to her.

She looked back at me with a smile. I shook my head as Connor McDavid spotted Auston. He stepped away from the person he was talking to as he walked over to Auston. Auston lifted Elle off of his shoulders and sat her on the ground as he spoke with Connor.

"What's up Auston?" Connor said.

Auston smiled at him. "Hey man. Welcome back captain."

Connor smirked nudged Auston. "I can say the same to you Captain Matthews."

Connor looked at me with a smile. "Hi Brynn. How are you and the baby?"

I smiled at him. "We're great Connor. Thank you."

He smiled again before turning his attention back to Auston. I picked up Elle and continued walking down the hallway as I looked for a place to sit down and rest my legs. I found an empty seat and took it quickly as I watched some players skate around on the ice. Some of them waved at me as I waved back. I pulled out my phone before I heard someone call my name.

"Brynn?" I looked up and made eye contact with Drew Doughty.

I smiled surprised. "Drew, hi."

He gave me a smile causing me to giggle at the missing teeth. "How have you been? It's been a while."

I nodded. "I've been good. It has been a while."

He stepped off the ice and leaned against the glass to continue talking to me. "You look great. You look, man what's the word I'm looking for,"

"Happy?" I answered for him.

Drew looked back at me and nodded slowly. "Yeah. Happy. Congratulations by the way on your pregnancy."

I smiled and looked down at my stomach as I rubbed in circles as Kingsley kicked. I looked back at him and noticed he was watching my hand. I looked back at my hand and knew exactly what he was looking at. My ring.

"Engaged?" He asked.

I looked up at him and shook my head slightly. "Married."

He widened his eyes surprised. "Married, wow. Congratulations. To Matthews I'm assuming?"

I nodded at him. "You are correct."

He looked down at his gloves before looking back at me. I spoke up.

"I truly didn't want any of this to happen the way it did Drew. Really." I told him.

He looked at me. "I'm not the one you should be saying that to."

He walked up to me and hugged me before walking back on to the ice and skating away. I watched him before Auston joined me.

"There you are, you just disappeared on me." He said as he walked up to me.

"I needed to sit. My legs were hurting." I told him.

He frowned. "Maybe you should go to the hotel and rest then."

I shook my head and kissed him softly. "I'm fine. Besides, I want to see Johnny Hockey and McDavid."

Auston rolled his eyes as he laughed. I giggled as John Tavares walked up to us.

"Well, well, we'll. If it isn't the happy couple. Captain." John said as he nodded towards Auston.

Auston smiled at him as they started to talk. I sat back down and watched Elle before squirming out of discomfort. I looked up and caught Drew staring at me from across the ice. I looked away quickly and looked at Auston as he shot me a smile. I smiled back before sighing. This was going to be a very long weekend.
