Chapter 24 ~ Eyes

SOOOO, I decided to be nice and put Monday's update up rn. Bc a certain two people were complaining*cough*Serena*cough* *cough*Mariah*cough*  ENJOY!!

I can't believe my eyes.

No way.

I take another step back.

I blinked multiple times to make sure he was, actually, there.

I rubbed my eyes. But I ended up poking it.

"Fuck," I muttered. Stupid eye. Ah, it burns. I keep rubbing my now watering eye.

"Shit, are you okay?" he said worryingly.

"Ya, I just..." I saw him step closer but, in instinct, I stepped back. So, he stopped. I looked up at the ceiling, blinking a lot. I bet my eye is red. I rub my eye, carefully this time, again.

"Do you, like, need the nurse?" he asked.

"Ugh, no. Just..." I blinked until the little black dots disappeared. I sighed before setting my eyesight back on him.

Silence.

That's what surrounded us.

Silence.

I saw him swallow.

"What are you doing here?" I breathed out. Still not believing it.

"I go to school here," he stated silently. No. He couldn't right?

"Uh, no you don't go here," I rushed just as silent.

     He didn't respond. He just looked around nervously. He ran his hand through his dark hair and sighed. Then he spoke.

"I do, I just avoid you guys," he said.

"Why?" I whispered still, confused. Why would he want to avoid us?

"Because I can't be around her," he said. I immediately knew who he was talking about.

"You can't avoid her forever, Zayn," I said referring to Mariah.

"I know but-"

"No, grow a pair!!" I exclaimed.

"Shhhh, someone might hear who," he hissed. I laughed.

"Someone hearing that you don't have-"

"No. No that." he shut me up.

"How come I've never seen you here before then?" I questioned. he shrugged.

"Maybe because I don't usually show up?" he smirked.

"Why the sudden change then?"

"I need to show up once in awhile," He looked away from me.

"You okay?" I asked suddenly feeling bad for him.

"I'm leaving, want to leave?" he asked. I was shocked at his sudden suggestion.

"You mean like ditch?" I questioned still recovering.

"Yes or no?" he looked at me annoyed. I looked back to the, now far away, the double doors of cafeteria. I already turned my permission slip in back in homeroom. I turned to look at Zayn and nodded. He looked at me expectantly, probably thinking I was going to back out.

"Well, let's go," I said. He walked, leading the way. Making sure teachers didn't see us. We walked out of the school without being caught.

"Soooo," I started off, trying to get rid of the awkwardness around us,"How come you haven't been around that much?" I asked. It's true, the times I've seen Louis and/or Liam, he's never around.

     He snorted and looked at me with that are you serious look. After that I didn't try to make conversation. Until I realized that I didn't know where we were going.

"Where are we going?" I questioned the same he said:

"We're here," I looked up and saw the house Lou showed us.

     Zayn pulled out a key and opened the door. Not even bothering to wait for me. Once inside, I looked around. Still the same. I thought. Eww, are those boxers? I saw then besides the tv stand. I quickly look away.

"So like who lives here?" I asked.

"We all do," he states.

"What?" I'm confused. He doesn't respond.

"Are you hungry?" he asked from the kitchen.

"No, I'm fine," I answered.

"You sure?"

"Yup," Why did I agree to this? It's so awkward.

NEXT CHAPTER is going to be like a second part to this one.

Maw-ha-ha!!! I'm so evil. I'm not going to make her meet him yet. At least, not in this chapter.
