Rapunzel POV:
Miss Frazenheart stood up and gestured for us to do the same. I could see the other Heads of Houses doing the same. Ravenclaw got out the door first. The halls were lined will paintings, like the ones in the castle at Corona. There was one difference.
"Um, CC?" I asked my new friend. "Why are the paintings moving?"
"They're enchanted, and guess what!"
"What?"
"The staircases move too!" CC finished.
"Did you really not know that?" Natalie butted into our conversation. Her shyness was fading the more I got to know her.
"Yes," I said absentmindedly as I had just seen Hufflepuff and Eugene, who had waved to me. I waved back.
"Boyfriend?" CC asked. I nodded. "Hmm, if I were you, I wouldn't date a Hufflepuff. They're Ravenclaw's polar opposites."
"Why?" I asked her.
"They are the dimwitted but loyal ones, you know, the ones that become slaves in fairytales. But there are some in Hufflepuff who are so smart and so brave, the Hat just doesn't know where to put them. That's probably what your boyfriend is."
"Yes," I replied, because I agreed. He must be brave and smart to have survived being a thief so long.
"Hey guys," Natalie tapped CC and I on the shoulders. "We're here."miss Frazenheart and our Prefects, Amelia Ryeborn and Alexander Nicholsworth were standing in front of a painting of a farmer. (A/N I don't actually know what the Ravenclaw portrait/entrance is, I'm just making it up and I will do so for all houses except Griffindor)
"Password?" The farmer asked, his pigs oinking behind him.
"Frugglenuggets," Amelia replied, then the painting swung open and almost knocked a couple of Ravenclaws first years heads off. I stepped through the narrow hole the painting had opened to and saw a small but cozy room decorated in the Ravenclaw colours: silver and navy blue.
One one side there was 3 2-seater couches and a single-seater couch surrounding a large fireplace in which a fire was blazing.
"C'mon, let's go find your room," CC appeared behind me. I nodded. She took me up a staircase I hadn't seen and we went up and up to the final floor. On the door was a list.
ROOM 45:
Cecelia Redford
Amelia Ryeborn
Rapunzel de Corona
Wacacia Sitea
"Wow!" CC exclaimed. "We get our Prefect in our room and only a room of 4! I've always had a room of 6. Also, can I call you Punz?"
I thought about this. No one has ever called me 'Punz' before. "Yeah, I like that CC. and I have a feeling this will be a good year."

Astrid POV
I stepped slowly off the stage as a realization had just hit me. My house is not the same as Hiccup's house. I tried to remember if anyone I knew was a Slytherin too. The red haired girl, no, her triplet brothers, no, Miss Brunette Bob, no, her boyfriend, no, Jack... Jack! I remember Hiccup's friend. I scanned the Slytherin table for him.
There he is! He was sitting at the end. Looking as dignified as I could, I strode up to him and tapped his shoulder. He turned around, a shocked look on his face. It relaxed when he saw me.
"Oh, Viking, what brings you to my end of the Slytherin table?" He asked. I scoffed.
"You've been here less than 5 minutes and you have still strolled in here like you own the place Frost." I told him.
"How many times have I told you Astrid, call me Jack."
"Why would I Frost, when you don't even realise I'm in Slytherin too!" My voice echoed around the room. I realized the room was silent. Turns out Slytherin was the only house left in the eating hall.
"Alright Miss Hofferson, if you're done, we'll head back to the Slytherin common room, yes?" our Head Of House, Mr Williams, inquired, although it was really a command. I nodded, blushing. Great first impression Astrid.
The walk to Slytherin common room was a short one. We went up one staircase, down another, down a hall and turned left to a dead end. But it wasn't a dead end. The painting on the end, an old wizard guy, spoke.
"PASSWORD?!" he boomed.
"Ceasedbrick," one of our prefects, Richard Grey, spoke to the painting. It slid into the wall and opened up a spacious room with cobbled walls and a smooth sandstone floor.
It was a square room. It had a fireplace one one side, the assortment of chairs,
tables, couches(or sofas) and pouffes surrounding it took up slightly less than half the room. On the other side was two doorways which you could see spiral staircases through.
"Boys rooms one the right staircase, girls on the left. I suggest you get some sleep classes start at 8am tomorrow morning." our other prefect, Samantha Carew, gave us some advice. I could see some students, mostly girls, taking her advice and heading to find their room.
Other students, like Jack and his newfound gang, simply say down and chatted. I decided to take Samantha's advice and headed to the staircase to find my room.
26,27,28... My room was the very last one, 50. I don't know if I would be able to make it up and down here at least once a day. I looked at the list on the door again to find my roommates.
Room 50:
Astrid Hofferson
Cienna Naru
Tara Stevens
Penelope Stevens
Huh, I guess I'm stuck with twins all over the world, I thought of Ruff and Tuff, Berk's notorious trouble makers. I opened the door. It was well greased, so it opened easily. The sight of my bed made me yawn. I walked across the room too my bed and jumped on it. I was asleep before I hit the mattress.
