Rapunzel POV

As the Scauldrons rose out of the lake and swivelled their big heads to look at us, I felt the familiar rush of exhilaration I got when I rode a dragon. I smiled.

Hiccup clicked his fingers. "Rapunzel? Whooo? You in there?" I shook my head.

"Oh, sorry. Coming." Hiccup and I quickly mounted the Scauldrons and flew off.

"Still remember the plan?" He asked me.

"Of course."

We flew around until we reached the Headmaster's office's window. Hiccup signalled his dragon and it melted the window pane and set fire to the desk.

We did the same to all the other offices, except the Potions one, because that was in the underground level of the castle. Now it was time for the finishing touch.

Hiccup grinned at me. "Ready?"

I smiled back evilly. "Always."

Hiccup's answer was a steep dive towards our target. I urged my Scauldron faster and we caught up.

Hiccup and I dived faster, faster, faster...

"Come on, come on..." I urged. "We need more speed otherwise we'll never make it."

I looked at the newly repaired wall. ((A/N Any ideas where they're going? ~EVIL SMILE~)) We reached the needed speed. I looked at Hiccup, then slid on my protective helmet, proudly designed by him.

With a crash, the Scauldrons smashed through the wall into the Great Hall, brick dust and mortar going everywhere. I laughed with joy. Hiccup's idea had worked!

We dismounted the dragons and ran to find the action.

Jack POV

Eugene, Nat and I raced round the corner. Twisting and turning, skidding down hallways, running down stairs. At one point Nat and Eugene went to CC's post and I found my way to Astrid's.

When I got there it was still quiet. Astrid was but a shadow in the distance. I slid silently up to her.

"Still no action?" I whispered in her ear.

She didn't even flinch. "No, but they've still got 10 minutes to show up."

Sigh. "More waiting."

Astrid barely inclined her head. "Indeed."

---

We didn't have to wait long. From the brightly lit 3rd hallway, the one facing the Door front on, slid a black-cloaked figure. They looked around, as if looking for spies. Satisfied, the character flung back their hood...

And was promptly tackled by Rapunzel, Astrid, CC and Hiccup. Rapunzel and Hiccup surprised from behind, surprising Cloak. Astrid and CC just helped hold them down.

I walked over and Rapunzel grinned at me, then at everybody else. "Anybody else wanna unmask this person?"

Everyone nodded or murmured agreement. Rapunzel flung the hood back and it was

"Heather?!" Astrid, Hiccup and I gasped. She nodded, her plait flapping up and down.

"Yep," she said sadly. Then she spat at Astrid. "But I bet you don't know what's behind this door."

Astrid raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"Guess you'll find out next year," heather smirked, then ran. "Later suckers! You need a Parseltongue to get past!"

"A what?" Quizzed a voice from the darkness. Everyone looked into the 3rd hallway. Rapunzel tilted her head. "Merida? Is that you?"

Merida stepped out of the shadows, nodding. "I wanted to follow you," she stated. "To prove it wasn't Dagur that was going behind that door. And I was right."

---

Merida POV

"And I was right." I was a bold statement, but so me.

Hiccup nodded thoughtfully. "Okay. CC, Nat, give us the lowdown. What's Parseltongue?"

"Parseltongue," said CC thoughtlfully. "Is the ability to speak to reptiles, including, but not limited to pythons, crocodilians, turtles and basilisks."

"How can you tell if you speak it?" Jack questioned.

Natalie answered this time. "You will hiss instead of speaking words. To say it, you must say the words, but think the word 'Parseltongue' over and over again ((Not true))."

"Okay," Jack replied. "So, let's all stand infront of the door, one at a time, thinking Parseltongue, and say 'Open'. Got it?"

Everyone nodded.

"Good then. Let's go."

---

Hiccup POV

It was CC's go first. Her hand was shaking as she stepped up to the door. Deep breath, and...

"Open." She said shakily. "Open. Open?" She let out a sigh of relief. "Not me." She stepped back and Natalie stepped forward.

"God, please make it not me," I heard her whisper. "Open. Well, it's not me." She walked away, still shaking.

"Who's next?" I broke the tense silence.

"Well," Rapunzel shrugged, "We're going in order of likeliness. So the Ravenclaws are first, then Hufflepuffs, then Merida, as she's the only Gryffindor, then Slytherins."

"Okay."

Rapunzel walked up to the door. And so it went. She was clear. I was clear. Eugene was clear. Merida was next.

"Wh-what happens if I-I am a P-Parseltongue?" She asked.

"It's to be kept in the upmost secrecy." Nat said. "To be a Parseltongue means that you could be related Salazar Slytherin, the founder of Slytherin House, who turned into a Purifier. Anyway, just not good."

"Oh." Said Merida shortly. "My go then."

A short amount of coughs and hisses came out of Merida's mouth. She jumped back, gasping. A clunking sound filled the air.

"What's that?" Astrid asked with a puzzled expression. She put her hand to her ear and her face crumpled in concentration.

"I-I think its the door," said Rapunzel. Everyone's head's swivelled to face the Door.

It swung open with an eery creak. I looked at Astrid, who was looking into the dark abyss that was visible through the doorway.

"Astrid?" I said, walking over to her. She looked at me questioningly.

"Yeah, Hiccup?" She asked curiously. I grabbed her hand.

"If there's something... Horrible... Through that door, I want you to know that I will always stand by you. I love you. Don't forget that."

Instead of answering, Astrid swept me into a kiss, holding on tightly to my robes. I kissed her back.

---

Rapunzel POV

I watched Astrid pull Hiccup into a kiss, and felt tears in my eyes. I blinked rapidly and turned to face Eugene. I held his hand, squeezing hard. He looked into my eyes and hugged me.

"Everything will be alright," he whispered into my ear. "I promise." Then he pulled back. I still held his hand as tightly as I could.

"Alright everybody," I said after clearing my throat. "Are we all happy to go through that door?"

Everybody nodded. "Then let's do it!" I yelled. "Lumeo!" I whispered, and my wand tip lit up. Everyone else did the same. I let go of Eugene's hand, then strode forward into the darkness.
