Merida POV
I stepped in behind Rapunzel into the dark, dark room. It was pitch black. The wands illuminated almost nothing.
"Walk the walls!" Jack said. "See if there's anything unusual. And Rapunzel, stay here and guard the door. This could be a trap."
I saw Rapunzel nod in the dim light, then I moved down the left wall along with CC and Eugene. I ran my hands along the wall. It cold hard stone brick.
When I hit the corner, I yelled out "Nothing along here!"
The same came from Jack in another corner. "Meet you in the middle?" I shouted.
"Yep!" Came the reply, so I started down the next wall. At some point my fingers touched Jack's. The stayed there for a little bit, before Hiccup spoke out. "You find something Jack?"
"Just Merida," he said brusquely. Then he yell back to Rapunzel, "There's nothing in here. We've been tricked."
"But we haven't explored the centre yet!" She yelled back. "I bet there'll be something there! Come on guys!" And she started walking into the middle.
"Rap!" I yell. "Ye wait up fer me!" I jog to catch up with her and it doesn't take long. We walk silently. Slowly, Jack joins us. Then Astrid. Then Hiccup. And when we walk to the centre of the room...

Eugene POV
I landed with a thud on... soft, plush carpet?
"Drat!" A voice around me hissed, and I opened my eyes. I was in a brightly illuminated room, with lush green walls, decorated with art depicting fierce battle scenes between giant reptiles, some with scaly wings, others with prehistoric-looking fangs and more with flat, ridged bodies. The carpet was metallic silver. Where were we?
There was 4 people staring down at me. 2 girls, 2 guys. They lifted me up roughly and strapped me to a chair. I blinked my blurry eyes do I could get a better look at my captors. A girl with ivory hair and green eyes stared back at me. A loose strand fell over her shoulder as she stared at me. I blinked. She scowled.
"This one's awake!" She yelled over her shoulder, then walked away, swinging her long hair as she she sashayed away. I rolled my eyes and thought, women. I looked around for the rest of the gang. They were sitting in chairs almost identical to mine. I also looked at the rest of my captors. There was a red haired boy with thick sideburns and a cunning smirk, a boy with ashy coloured hair and golden cat's eyes, and.... MRS DUNN?!
Mrs Dunn cackled. "You all fell right into our trap. So now my group, Pitch, Heather, Hans and Dagur, will get rid of you." She smiled an evil smile. "Except you, Merida. Thank you for leading them to me. Dagur tells me that your... special to him, and you're a Parseltoungue. Stay with us, and you live."

Merida POV
Stay with us, and you live. The words reverberated around my head. It was my choice. I struggled for an answer. What could I do? I wanted my friends to live, I wanted to live, but Mrs Dunn and... Dagur... were offering me a chance to make my Parseltoungue something else. Not hated. Not despised.
"What about my friends?" I say. "How will you... get rid of them?"
"That's not for you to know, dear," she sneered. "And also, you will no longer refer to them as your friends. They are now corpses."
I nodded. "Okay, I'll join." Heather unchained me from my chair and whispered in my ear, "I hope you've got a plan to get us out of here Princess." I stood up and nodded slowly, so I would seem like I was cracking my neck. I saw Hiccup glaring at me and walked over and grabbed him by the shirt. I saw Astrid glaring at me, and I winked at her. Understanding dawned on her face. I looked back at Hiccup.
"Play along," I growled, keeping my face looking angry. "I've got a plan." Then I let go of his shirt, slapped him across the face and walked over to the captors. "So what's our group name?" I asked gruffly.
Mrs Dunn smiled, but Pitch answered. "They call us The Dementors."
