"That's it.. You're doing good.." Wonshik softly praised, fondly gazing at the big, bambi eyes staring back so trustingly at him.

The deer hybrid wobbled on his legs shakily, his hands tightly held onto Wonshik's for support as he took another wobbly step forward.

The victory was short lived as the hybrid lost balance and tumbled to the floor, his legs folding into a "W" shape as he thumped onto the floor. The deer looked startled, eyes wide and pouty lips parted in shock before his eyes welled up in tears and his lip jut out in a sad pout.

"Aww~... Don't cry, Taekwoon.. You're still a baby, it's okay to fall..." Wonshik cooed, gathering the hybrid in his arms, supported Taekwoon by his thighs while the hybrid wrapped his legs around Wonshik's waist.

He patted Taekwoon's soft fluffy hair in an attempt to soothe him, slipping a pacifier in between his teeth. The deer cuddled closer, nuzzling at Wonshik's neck.

Taekwoon was a newly developed baby deer. He was still a fawn and learning how to walk and Wonshik was more than happy to aid him. The deer was a few inches shorter than Wonshik and had soft chestnut colored hair that had a few white spots littered here and there on his hair. His deer ears stood up from his hair, one ear flopped downwards as it twitched once in a while. His tail was a similar chestnut color with a white underside.

Taekwoon was small and deathly shy, which was common in most fawns. The hybrid arrived at the center just two weeks ago, bundled up in a soft baby pink blanket, sucking on a light yellow pacifier. The center was a place where they bought in abandoned or injured hybrids. It was almost like a pet shop but the owners didn't prefer that and instead made it into an adoption center where they nurse the hybrids into full health and let loving people adopt them if they wish to be.

The center was absolutely thorough before the adoption actually happened. They screened their adopters and made sure their homes were fit to house a hybrid. They also made sure that the adopter would not abuse the hybrid, be it physically or emotionally. The adoption process took nearly six months in total.

Taekwoon was an abandoned hybrid found on the streets. The deer hybrid was small and defenseless and cried rather a lot when he was first taken into the center. It took a lot of coaxing to lure him from his little nest that he had created by old blankets and pillows during his stay in the center.

In a short span of two weeks, the hybrid had grown. He had a quite lean figure, broad shoulders but a small waist, his legs being long and lanky, being the reason he was stumbling quite a lot of the time. He had also warmed up to certain caregivers, more specifically Wonshik and Hakyeon.

Hakyeon was the one who would constantly coax the fawn to eat something. He had spent hours on his hands and knees, peering carefully into Taekwoon's nest, a bowl of warm porridge in one of his hands. The hybrid warmed up to him eventually, slowly approaching him to find food.

Hakyeon loved his first real encounter with Taekwoon. It was the first time the hybrid willingly searched for him.

"BamBam, Put that fork down! And Yoongi, Wake up please! Oh god, Jinyoung, NO that spoon is not your lunch!..." Hakyeon was going half insane controlling the hybrids during lunchtimes. The hybrids in the lunch room where usually the slightly older hybrids who were able to feed themselves. The younger ones were hand fed by their caregivers.

Hakyeon sighed and gave a small smile to Mark, another caregiver who took care of the hybrids. The latter cackled at Hakyeon's struggle, the two managing to now calm the noise so the hybrids settled into a more peaceful lunchtime.

He gestured for Mark to watch over the hybrids as he left to prepare Taekwoon's food. He had been trying to feed the fawn all day with no success. He hoped the hybrid was willing to eat today at least.
