The first time Wonshik met him, the human had literally barreled onto him while Wonshik was collecting herbs, his wings flapping haphazardly, soft, grey speckled white feathers spraying everywhere. Wonshik wasn't able to see the winged human's face, only a spur of feathers before they disappeared as quickly as they came, grey softness being the only reminder that remained.

In those days, it was common to see winged humans, the entire royal family had swan wings sprouted from their backs and they ruled over the village that consisted of both humans and winged humans. The common folk winged ones had smaller wings of black that resembled a raven. It was rare to birth a child that had wing colors lighter than black in the village.

Which was the reason Wonshik was back at the same place in the forest, cloak snugly over his shoulders, the hood slightly over his eyes, the edges trimmed with fur as to shield him from the bitter cold of winter. He held the handle of a wicker basket in hand like his usually did, under the pretense of going to pick blackberries. He was attired in a long sleeve brown sweater and long grey pants, his boots effective for keeping away snow. He was rather warm and snug under the layers of clothing.

Wonshik was the grandchild of the most respected Medicine Lady in the village. The old grandmother had nurtured Wonshik from his young days, as his mother was unable to do so since she died from childbirth. The father didn't want to keep Wonshik as the child reminded him of the fact that his loved one was gone and refused to raise him. Grandma had taken him into her home, raising him with love and care, teaching him the ways of medicine. Unfortunately the child was a mute, unable to speak his thoughts. However, Grandma didn't love him any less, actually it made her love him more.

Soon, he was skilled enough to work alongside his grandmother and can heal nearly anything. His grandmother is absolutely proud of him.

Wonshik eyed the barren trees, coated in a fresh layer of snow, the forest eerily quiet as the animals of the forest were asleep in hibernation. He listened carefully and his attempts were successful as he heard the faint rustle of feathers. Wonshik didn't have enough time to dodge as he was shoved over and landed on the snow on his back, hood falling back to expose his head.

Breathtaking. It was all Wonshik could think of.

The human that was hovering above him and pinning him down had silvery hair that matched the snow. His feline eyes narrowed and glowed a threatening icy blue. Behind him, massive grey wings speckled with white stretched grandly. The grey contrasted with his snowy skin. His lips were a soft shade of pink, almost like a rose petal.

His figure was tall and lean, shoulders and chest broad, strong arms pinning Wonshik down. He was attired in a dark midnight blue long sleeve shirt and brown trousers, feet bare as winged ones did not feel the harshness of the cold.

Wonshik didn't feel afraid, no matter how threateningly the winged human glared at him, he didn't feel scared the slightest. It was then only Wonshik noticed the gash across the left wing, blood dried across some feathers.

The winged human stood off, seeming to notice how unaffected Wonshik was and sat back on the snow, wisps of frozen water tangled into his silvery hair.

Wonshik carefully pulled out a jar of fresh water, along with a healing salve and strips of cotton. He carefully approached the still male and the winged one made a low growl under his breath, warning Wonshik. The latter paid no heed and settled beside the other, carefully pouring fresh water over the blood coated feathers, washing it away.
