The ball had begun an hour ago, but Ken had only just begun. The Godfather stood up from his seat, the blue cup poofing into nothingness with a little pop. His eyes sparkled as he gave a little clap of delight.
"Now! Where to start? Ah, yes, there's so much to do! Horses, glitter, dancing,
Maybe even a party and—.. Goodness gracious child! Are you going to the ball wearing that?!" Ken came to an abrupt halt as he caught eye of the shabby clothes Taekwoon had on and the ebony haired had to stifle a laugh. He had to admit that his Godfather was funny.
Taekwoon shook his head sheepishly, as weird as the situation was, Ken was nothing but kind to him. Unlike many people who shun him out by first appearance. He couldn't disagree with the fact that his patched clothes an messy hair that nearly covers his eyes were not a flattering look but it wasn't like he could maintain a prim and proper physical appearance while being buried to the nose in housework and chores that required him to be stagnated in the kitchen most of his life. Taekwoon assumes that the kitchen was now his permanent living arrangement. It has been so for the past 12 years.
"Well, let's fix it up then!" Ken's wand fizzed with absolute delight, sparkles shooting from the tip.
"Could you fix the one Hakyeon gave me? It's all burnt to pieces..." Taekwoon requested hopefully. He wanted to honour the gift he was given. It was the least he could do.
"Well, I could change into something marvelous!" Ken waved around, doing a grand little twirl.
"Oh, no.. Just fixing it up would be fine.. It was a gift from him and I want to treasure it." Taekwoon denied kindly, fingers tracing the remains of the undamaged fabric.
"Oh.. Of course~..." Ken smiled, gaze gentle and loving, his glow shining just a bit more brighter at the kindness in the latter's heart.
He raised his wand.
"But... Do you mind if changed it here and there?..." Ken asked hesitantly, head cocking to the side in question, his wand paused in position to make sure of Taekwoon's confirmation.
At Taekwoon's shake of assurance, a swirl of light erupted from Ken's wand, glitter appearing to surround them both as Ken chanted his spell, golden white sparkles beginning to swirl around Taekwoon. Another flash and a bang followed, dissolving the world into a night of sparkles, as if stars rained down upon them.
As the glitter settled and Taekwoon blinked the last dregs of light from his eyes, he gasped.
The suit was beautiful. He was attired in a ivory white shirt, the fabric like sheer silk, enunciating his small waist and lovely figure. His blazer was of cream blue, shimmering with soft glitter, his slacks matching the blazer. It helped to emphasize his broad shoulders and long legs. His dress shows were a lovely white and his ebony hair was combed and parted to the side to expose his forehead. On his hands were lace white gloves. His skin was powdered and ears fastened with simple diamond earrings.
Taekwoon lifted his hand to feel the silver necklace his mother had gifted him and was pleased to find it their, shining as if never aged with time. He gripped onto the sapphire pendant to offer him some sort of courage.
He never felt so beautiful in his life.
"You look like a real Prince! All eyes will follow you tonight." Ken marveled, eyes fond and delighted.
"She would have loved it." Taekwoon said, voice thankful and happy. For the first time in years, his smile was genuine.
"Now not a minute to lose. I will take you there, forget the carriage. No one will recognize you, not even your step family. It's how Magic works. People will only see what they want to see.." Ken explained slowly, pulling Taekwoon closer to him to begin his magic.
