"Eomma's dead."she repeated in a soft,faint whisper.

She didn't let her tears fall this time round. She had enough tear shedding for that day.She slid off the side of the bed and brushed off her jeans and fixed her shirt before walking around the bed and beside Seungcheol.

She sat down on the chair and held her father's hands in hers. She smiled sadly.

"Annyeonghaseyo,appa.How are-Please wake up soon.You haven't woken up yet...your in a coma...aren't you...?"she mumbled.

Seungcheol watched her silently exchanging words with their sleeping father.

"Hyejin...its time to meet Eomma."he said, shaking her shoulder gently. She looked up at him with those glassy eyes and gave a small nod.She knew her voice would betray her of she spoke.Especially since their mother was...

She didn't dare say she was dead.

She forced a smile on her face and went into the toilet in the private room as requested by Seungcheol.

She locked the door and slapped her cheeks giving it a slight rosy hue.She rinsed her face of the dried up tear streaks. She was completely bare faced but that was fine.It didn't matter.Nothing mattered more than the life and health of their parents. And one was probably in a coma and the other...dead.

She slid the door open and met Seungcheol who stood there with a small grin.He pushed himself off the wall and they both made their way to a ward...a ward of corpses...a ward of death.

She cringed as she passed through the rows of bodies that were covered with blankets from head to toe.Names were hung above the bed of the death patient. They travelled a little further and found their mother's name,Choi Haeun. She stopped at the foot of the bed.She could already see what was under despite having the blanket draped over her face and body.

The nurse attended to them and pulled the blanket down to their mother's chin.Hyejin gasped and her hands flew to cup her mouth.Tears of sadness glossed her eyes again.

"Eomma..."she whimpered.

Their mother's one beautiful, snow white, flawless face was now filled with bruises, scratches and fresh wounds. Her face was rather distorted and she was now pale, her lips almost colourless. Her brown eyes were wide open. But there wan't a sign of life.It was completely dull.

Hyejin pulled the blanket down even more. Her arms were justas bruised and battered as her face.

Seungcheol held his tears in.He couldn't cry.Not in front of anyone.Especially Hyejin. But the face that their beautiful, sweet and caring mother was dead...it brought tears to his eyes.Tears cascaded down both their faces.

"I'm afraid you have to go,Mr Choi,Ms Choi.We have to discuss if she should be buried or cremated."

"Buried."Hyejin spoke softly to which Seungcheol nodded along.

The nurse nodded but still escorted them out of the ward.Hyejin walked slowly alongside her brother. He took the death much better than her.Maybe it was because he could handle and process things much better than her.

It was unfair. To Hyejin everything was unfair. Why did her father have to be in a come? Why did her mother have to die?Why did they have to be involved in a car accident?Why...Why was the world so cruel...?She sat on one of the chairs along the corridor and stared at the white floor.

"You told me you'll take care of yourself,eomma...You promised..."she whispered.Seungcheol looked at her and sat beside her silently.

Hyejin looked up from the floor and looked her brother in the eye.
