And just like that with all her friends beside her,the day ended just as fast as time had ticked by.With every second gone was just another second to cherish.
Hyejin wore a bright smile and to say that she was happy was more or less of an understatement. She was beyond overjoyed and there were no words nor sentences to express her gratitude towards her friends.
Wonwoo sat beside her on the bed as she watched them chat amongst themselves. He brought his hands above hers and took her small, soft hands in his, interlocking their fingers like their hearts interlocked with each other.
There was no denying his love for her.And every second she spent with him only made him fall for her more.
She leaned into his shoulder, her euphoric smile never leaving her blissful face. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the moment they shared.
"I'm so glad...for everything."she mumbled.Soft enough only for him to hear.
His heart pounded against his ribs as his lips pulled into a soft smile.Enough to make his eyes radiate with the warmth and love they both cherished.Bringing an arm around her,he leaned his head against hers, careful not to place too much pressure.
"Mn...And I'm grateful for you."he whispered, planting a love-filled kiss on her temple which only brightened Hyejin's face even more.
The two stayed there in each other's arms with their eyes closed, enjoying the time they spent together.
Seungcheol turned his head towards them with a bitter expression for though he loved Hyejin from the bottom of his heart,he was sad to let her go to the love of her life.He was afraid of anyone breaking her fragile and already broken heart. She sure didn't need another heartbreak anytime soon. And because of that,Seungcheol was weary. And also partially because she was his little sibling. He couldn't bare to loose her even if it meant giving up his dreams and his friends.
But the fact that she relied on Wonwoo for all her problems at the moment broke him. He'd always thought that Hyejin would come to him if anything. But with Wonwoo, there was no saying she may never come to him to confide in her problems any longer. And this, left a unwanted hole in his heart.
He smiled bitterly.Jeonghan and Joshua who sat beside him noticed the change in his mood, their smiles disappearing.Them being the next oldest in the room understood what Seungcheol was going through. And though Joshua didn't have a younger sibling-or any sibling for that matter-by blood,he had his friends, his family as his younger siblings.Jeonghan, however, understood Seungcheol well for he,himself had a younger sister.
"They really do come and go,huh?"Jeonghan spoke softly with a small smile.
His red hair fell slightly over his eyes as he watched Hyejin then Seungcheol.
Joshua placed a hand on Seungcheol's shoulder and gave it a small squeeze.
"They do...but,even so...Hyejin will still be your sibling.Even if she runs off with another man."Joshua smiled, his voice calm and assuring.
Seungcheol stared at the two a little longer, the bitterness in his heart slowly fading away.He was grateful to have friends that understood him without being judged and for that,he was forever grateful that he had become a part of this wonderful family. He turned his gaze towards the two the bitter smile that had once painted his face now turned into one of gratitude.
"Thanks,Jeonghan,Joshua."he smiled before standing up from his position on the floor.
"Well, visiting hours are over and I'm sure that Wonwoo would want to stay here?"he asked, looking at Wonwoo who still had Hyejin in his arms.
