Hyejin rushed into the hospital with tears streaking down her face. She hadn't stopped crying ever since she received the call.Or at least ever since she had processed the words that were spoken through the call. How could she stop crying? Her parents were caught in an accident and they were in a hospital.
Hyejin couldn't stop but think of all the worse case scenarios.Them dying and them leaving her.
She wasn't always a good and angelic kid and she'd always argued with her parents. She'd shut them out at times for the most childish reasons. And that was something she regretted now that she was older.Which in her opinion, was pretty stupid of her.
She walked to the receptionist who said they were still currently in the ER or either one of them were.
She followed the nurse to the ER as she sobbed staring at the covered glass windows.
Arms engulfed her into a warm and loving hug.The same arms brought her closer to their chest.
Hyejin listened to the rhythmic beating of the heartbeat and buried her face.
S.Coups only continued to hug his sister, supplying her with the comfort she needed to ease the pain. The same pain he was feeling. He rested his chin on her head as they remained silent.Noting could be said and nothing could be done.Silence was what they both needed right now.
S.Coups led his sister to one of the blue seats outside of the Emergency Room and sat on the seat beside hers.
Hyejin looked up at her brother, looking once more like the pitiful child that would cry when she injured her knee or when she was shouted at.She looked at her with the saddened red puffy eyes she had and looked at him.Her cheeks were streaked with both dried tears and the new ones that continued to pour from her eyes.
"They'll be alright...right?"she choked. She wanted to hear the answer she wanted to hear and her brother knew that fully well. But was it really right to lie to her face?Everyone knew that 90% of the time, people die from these kind of car accidents. And as hurtful as the truth may be,whose to say their parents wouldn't die?
S.Coups bit his lip thoughtfully.
"I don't know,Hyejin-a.I don't know."he whispered,bringing her close by the shoulder with one arm.
"I don't know."he repeated as she lay her head on his shoulder.
The door to the room opened and out came one of the surgeons that were operating on their parents.
The brother and sister stood up and faced the surgeon.Hyejij looked at him with a helpless look in her eyes.
"H...How are they?"she whispered.
The surgeon looked at Seungcheol and gave a grim smile.
"I'm so sorry..."
Those were the three words that both siblings dreaded to hear. There was no sorry in the loss of lives. It couldn't bring back anything. So what was so good about saying sorry when there was nothing to be sorry about in the first place? Why do people say sorry when someone dies?Is it something that everyone has been obligated to say?
She stared-no.Glared at the floor. She gritted her teeth and clenched her fists.
She didn't get to say goodbye.
"You parents will be transferred into another room.I'm afraid you will only be able to see one of them."The surgeon continued.
Hyejin bit her lip as she continued to hold in her frustration that was coming to a boil inside her.At the same time, trying to contain the hurt, pain and confusion that was wrenching at hear heart.
She glared at the floor and maybe,if she glared hard enough, there would be holes through the floor.
She glanced at her brother who seemed to have a blank expression on his face.
"O-oppa?"she whispered.Seungcheol seemed to snap put of his daze as he averted his gaze from the floor to Hyejin.
"Their dead..."she croaked.A new set of tears formed.
"Their dead, oppa! They're dead!"she cried as she slumped against the wall, burying her face in the palm of her hands.
What would happen? She didn't want them to leave just yet.One of her parents were gone. The other...would be in a fatal condition with a 50 50 percent chance of living. She wasn't ready to say goodbye.
Her mother was wheeled out of the ER.Her face covered in the white blanket that covered her face. She was probably scarred and bloodied or maybe worse.
Her heart wrenched tighter.A blanket over a persons face and body usually meant death had come upon them.
She squeezed her eyes shut and covered her ears as nightmares of her parents' death came to them again.
She jumped when a cold hand touched her.She squeezed her eyes tighter as she kicked at nothing.
"Stay away!Please..."she yelled.
She was having a panic attack. And that hadn't happened to her since young. She was breathing heavily as nightmares of death and lifeless corpses flashed before her eyes.
She hyperventilated and was unable to open her eyes.
Hands pried her hands that covered her eyes and pulled her up into standing.
"Hyejin.Its just us."the voice said.
She forced her eyes oped and saw the 13 boys. She glanced at them before she blacked out.Only feeling several hands catch her before she completely lost her consciousness.

Seungcheol sat by her side with her hands in his.Their father was sleeping behind him peacefully. In a white hospital gown that most-if not all-patients wore.
Her hand twitched and he lifted his head.
"Hyejin?"Seungcheol whispered.
He couldn't lose his sister like he lost their mother that day.At the same time, almost losing their father.
She slowly opened her eyes and groaned before shooting up.Only to regret the sudden movement and lay back down. She turned her head to Seungcheol.
"Where are they?Where's eomma and appa.I have to see them."she said pressing her palms against the mattress and pushing herself up into a sitting position.
She slid her legs off the side of the bed.Seungcheol held her by the wrists and forced her to sit hack down.He sighed and stepped aside, allowing a view of their father who was sleeping as peacefully as someone would after a surgery and accident.
His face was battered up and filled with bruises same with his his arms.Though bot much could be said about her father's legs that were hidden under the hospital blankets.
The faint beeping of the heart monitor beside his bed showed his heartbeat. It looked stable yet she couldn't stop fearing for the worse. She gasped, her hands flying to her mouth and tears beginning to form.
"That means..."
Seungcheol nodded solemnly.
"Eomma's dead."
