Hyejin wore her black lace dress that reached just above her knee.It hugged her curves and for once she was thankful to have a fit figure. She put on light makeup with pale pink blush, pink eyeshadow and a red lip tint. She smoothened down the fabric of the dress and took her phone, placing it into her black purse.

2 days after hearing the death of their mother.2 days since she'd been dead. She put on a smile.Remembering the promise she and her brother made to their parents when they were young.

"Hyejin,Seungcheol.Promise eomma and appa that no matter what happens to us,you'll live life to the fullest and continue smiling."

"I promise,Eomma,Appa!"Hyejin beamed.

"Nae.I promise too."Seungcheol nodded with a smile.

And though she was too young to understand back then, she made sure to keep it in mind. But now that she knew what that promise meant, she had to keep her promise. She never broke a promise and she intends to keep it that way.

She met her brother and his friends-all of which were wearing black tuxedos-outside the dorm where they boarded the mini bus-one of their much larger transportations-to the church where the funeral would be held or rather, the start of the funeral.

She sat at the back of the van. This would be the last day of moping around and slacking in the dorm.Today was also the last day to say goodbye.

Funny how most people only said "bye" instead of "goodbye".Maybe it was because "goodbye" was much like saying their farewells forever. But what what good about saying farewell?

"Hey.Hyejin."Joshua said,shaking her shoulder gently.

"We've been calling you for a while now.Anything wrong?"Jun asked.

She blinked, noticing how all eyes were on her.She shook her head and smiled.

"I'm fine.Just thinking.Nothing much."she said and smiled at them assuringly.

The boys nodded but her brother, sitting a seat away from her looked at her, watching her expression. He was sure there was something more than just "thinking".Her eyes were far and she was in a daze.He noticed that Wonwoo was staring at her as well. The same creased forehead and the worrisome eyes.

Seungcheol assessed Wonwoo's face and movements, thinking back to his past actions towards his sister.Where his eyes wore a longing gaze and his lips twitched upwards at the mere sight of her. He'd recently been more bright and active when Hyejin arrived. He could only think of one reason. He had fallen for his sister's charms and there was no way out.But he wasn't all too sure either.Only time could tell if Hyejin would come to accept Wonwoo. And in all honesty,Seungcheol hoped she would.

Wonwoo could care for Hyejin in ways Yoongi-now more commonly known as Min Suga-never could.Though he'd spent lesser time with Wonwoo as compared to Yoongi,he knew Wonwoo was mature about these things and took them to heart. He held those he loved close to him and cherished and protected them with all he could.Wonwoo would be more mature about it seeing Hyejin was much younger when they dated.

The mini bus came to a stop and they all got off with Hyejin coming out last.Seungcheol waited for her and slung an arm around her shoulders.

"You doing alright?"Seungcheol whispered.

Hyejin nodded and smiled.

"It's the last day of grief huh.The last day of tears and the last day of walking around like a zombie."she laughed dryly.Seungcheol nodded.

They made their way up the stairs of the church.Hyejin stood beside the coffin alongside Seungcheol where their mother's picture was displayed. She was smiling happily, her eyes grinning like the bright smile her lips formed. There was a twinkle of joy that was captured in the unmoving picture.
