NEW YEAR

The members sat around the roaring fire.And though it was winter,their weekly gathering around the burning fire in the backyard's hearth could be stopped even if it was snowing.

Hyejin sat there,thinking about the year's events and recalling all her memories.Both good and bad.She smiled fondly at Wonwoo as he threw an arm around her shoulder,pulling her to his side.

It was the last da of 2018.And like any other year,the members would have the day off,spending their time with one another.For that's what they thought celebrating new year was about.Being together and laughing together.Spending the last moments of the year together before it came to an end.

Hyejin leaned her head on his shoulder,watching the flakes of ashes rise into the darkened sky,the only thing that illuminated the backyard being the large orange fire.

Her snow pale face shone orange as her eyes casted the flakes of ashes,her lips slightly parted.Everything about her seemed perfect.And as the members looked at her,they were entranced by her beauty.But not to the extent that they would fall for her.Instead,they were attracted to her aura.One that was of greatness and power.But most of all,the alluring aura of her beauty.

Most men fell for her,begging her to be called theirs.

But,her heart belonged to only one.And that,was the man sitting beside her,the one that had poured all his love into,not leaving a single ounce for anyone but her.For she,was the definition of his life-No.His very existence itself revolved around her.His world.Not anything could compare to his love for her.

She closed her eyes,her long lashes fluttering shut as she breathed in the cold crisp air of the winter night,hugging her winter jacket closer to her body in hopes of bringing more warmth to herself.

"Are you cold?"Wonwoo whispered,pulling her closer to his body.

"Yeah."she mumbled in reply.

Wonwoo stood up,rushing into the house,pairs of eyes trailing after him as he came back out with a blanket.

Upon draping it around her shoulders,he sat back down beside her,pulling her towards him once more to provide her more warmth and at the same time,rubbing her arms.

She smiled at him,her pearly whites glinting golden orange as she grinned.

"Thank you,Wonwoo."she said thankfully.

He kissed her forehead,his warm lips touching the her cold forehead.

"Anything for you."he mumbled.

"Yah!Enough with the PDA!We get it!You've been dating for months.But seriously.It's time for all of us to bond-"Seungkwan yelled.

"We are bonding,Seungkwan."Wonwoo yelled back,smirking as he fell silent.Seungkwan blushed.

"Well-I...Hyung!Tell him!"he said,slapping Jeonghan's thigh.

Dino laughed along with The8 who was roasting his marshmallow over the fire.

"You guys are funny!"Dino chuckled,clutching his stomach as he bent forward,his eyes forming smiles as he laughed jovially.

Jeonghan looked at Joshua.Then at Seungcheol,sighing.

"What Seungkwan said was true,Wonwoo.We have to bond together.As a group.Not as a couple.Not all of is are together with a significant other.And even if we did,they couldn't make it."Jeonghan said,placing his elbows on his lap as he propped his head on the hollow of his palms.

"Isn't that right,Woozi?Joshua?"he asked,with a smug smile.The latter blushed,turning away from Jeonghan.But Joshua,was in a difficult situation for he was situated between Jeonghan and Vernon.
