The concert.

We rushed towards the train station, neither of us having our drivers license yet. It was lightly raining outside, so when we were sheltered we let out a sigh of relief. Not many people were there, so when the train finally came, we had an entire wagon all to ourselves. That had never happened before, so it added to the excitement. We blasted out their music, and danced and sung at the top of our lungs. When we reached our stop, we shuffled out of the train, laughing and stumbbling across our own feet. People probably thought we were drunk, which wasn't a big deal. The problem was that is was hardly 7:30 PM, so we probably looked like big-arse alcoholics. I decided not to say that out loud, not wating to remind her of her dad. Tonight was going to be a fun night, and nothing would bring us down.

We got out of the station, into the fresh air of Sydney. We walked over to the venue the concert would be in, and a lot, and I mean A LOT of girls were there, screaming their heads off. I knew Ay would end up like that, but I wasn't that kind of fan. When I liked a band, I enjoyed their music, and wanted to hear it, not shout and make them feel like gods.

Anyway, after queuing for a long time behind girls going crazy, security checked us, and let us in. The venue was huge, the seats were filling up quickly. I had seen online that this show had been sold out, and I realised how lucky we were to have gotten tickets.

We walked towards our seats, which were right up the front, as promised. We sat down and chatted excitedly, and about 10 minutes before the show was to start, I headed towards the bathroom. I checked myself quickly in the mirror, touching up my makeup, washing my hands and got my phone out, texted Ay telling her I was on my way back. As I put my phone back in my pocket, I walked into a boy. He was very tall, had curly hair held up in a bandana. He smiled at me, and my goodness did he have cute dimples. He apologised, and then pointed at my shirt.

"Hey, nice shirt!" He gave me another award winning smile. I looked down at my shirt, and pointed out :

"Yeah, Blink-182 is my favourite band !"

"Oh that's cool, we love it too, it's one of our inspiration bands, we grew up listening to them." As I was wondering who the "we" in his sentence was, he quickly said "Well I gotta go, the show's about to start. See you again soon, hopefully." He winked and walked away, in his tight skinny jeans and baggy tank top, that allowed us to see all the way down his stomach.

I stood there for a couple of seconds before snapping out of it, and telling myself he was just a cute stranger that I would probably never see again.

I found my seat once again, slopped down in it, and started chatting to Aylin. We couldn't speak  much, as the lights dimmed down, and the show was about to start. There was a countdown, during which I thought Ay was going to explode, she looked so excited. As the numbers reached 1, and then 0, a tall boy walked onto the stage, banging his drumsticks above his head. The crowd went wild, Ay stood up and shouted and screamed, and was just having a blast. I froze in my seat, staring at the drummer. Was he really who I had just bumped into? I wondered before seing 3 more guys walking onto the stage, much to the pleasure of the crowd.

"Hey guys, how are you all doing tonight?" The crowd  went absolutely mad. "Thanks for coming out tonight, we're gonna start it off with a song called Disconnected. I hope you guys enjoy." Said the tall blond boy in the middle. He has electric blue eyes, amazingly quiffed hair, and an amazing style. The boy on his left was also really good looking, I supposed this was Michael, I remember Ay speaking about him and all his different hair colours. Tonight it was a light purple. He had an amazing body, and was also extremely well dressed. Finally on his right was a brunette boy, who looked slightly asian. Once again, his clothes were out of bounds.

As they started playing, my eyes drifted slowly onto the drummer. I was sure that was him I had bumped into, but I just couldn't wrap my head around it. He was so cool and easy-going when I spoke to him, and now he was banging on his drums like his life depended on it? No, it couldn't be him.

The song slowly drifted to an end, I was really happy they had started with my favourite song, it really put me in a good mood. After a few songs, I asked Ay what the drummer's name was. She replied :

"His name is Ashton Irwin, he's 2 years older than the other boys, so 3 years older than us." She frowned slightly, before going back and singing along to Beside You.

At the end of the song, Ashton spoke up. "Alright we're going to take a 5 minutes brake, we'll be right back" He winked and followed the other 3 boys off the stage. I knew now that it was him, I recognised his voice. I looked at Ay. Her hair was a mess, and she was sweating like nothing I had ever seen before. We would had to fix her up before the meet and greet. I quickly learned all the names from her during intermission : Michael, Luke, Ashton, and Calum. They were all super cool looking, and all amazingly talented.

They walked back on stage, and the crowd once again went mad. They started again with the first song I had ever heard of them, English Love Affair, the one who sounded slightly cheeky. Indeed, I looked around the venue and saw a lot of younger girls, around 12 and 13. It was surprising, considering it was quite a heavy band. Anyway, as the song started, I familiarised myself with the lyrics, one again.

I got up and stood next to Aylin, singing along. I looked up at Luke as he was the one singing. He sped a quick glance at me before looking at other people in the venue. The look might have been quick, but I had felt the electricity of his bright blue eyes.

"Every single step, had me waiting for the next, before I knew that it was serious, drag me out the bar, to the back seat of a car..."

I rolled my eyes at the lyrics before smiling and joining in on the chorus.

At the end of the concert, they thanked the crowd, and walked of. The venue started emptying slowly, and the security was really busy with all the fangirls trying to get backstage to meet the boys. I couldn't help but feel proud of myself, not only knowing that I had already bumped into Ashton, but also because thanks to the meet and greet, we would get to hang out with them.

We headed towards the bathrooms and brushed our hair, powdered of noses and re-applyed mascara, before heading back to the queue for the meet and greet. There was a hell of a lot of people, and we were last in the queue because of our trip to the bathroom. I silently cursed, realising we would be there for a while.

"Well, looks like we have time to spare!" Ay said, looking up with a annoyed expression on her face.

"Yeah, but let's enjoy our time here while we have it." I replied back with a  wink. She laughed, and we talked about our favourite parts of the show. She told me hers was when Calum supposedly winked at her while singing his line in Amnesia. I didn't believe much of her, he could have winked at anybody else around her. For what we know, it could have been the 13 year old next to her. But I didn't say anything, and smiled at her, realising that she was very rarely this happy, the situation with her parents getting harder and harder. Finally, she burst out :

"Oh shit."

"What? What's wrong?" I answered, getting worried.

"Where are we going to sleep?!" She said, a panicking look in her eyes.

"Well at... Oh shit." I answered, realising I told my parents we were staying at her place, and told her parents we were staying at my place.

"Yeah, kind of." She said, getting very pale.

We couldn't go back to my place, my parents were out of town for the week end and Ben and Em went out clubbing, and I didn't have a key. Ay's dad would just get pissed if we came back at her place unexpected and so late at night.

We thought silently for a moment, the line in front of us gtting smaller and smaller.
