Currently the time was early dawn. We were heading in the direction of the city. Rising just as high as the sun, burning to take over.
Gassing out our tanks to fuel them again by mid afternoon .
"Foxy yeah, and you know you are a sweet little lover maker," Kobra softly hummed along to my radio.
Ghoul feed our empty tanks while he read an old Rolling Stone magazine. Jet Star was polishing up his ray gun and as for Party he was basking in the sun.
His whole body laid on the front of the car as he waited for us. He didn't move a muscle, in fact I thought he was dead. Surely a normal sane person wouldn't bask in the sun during a heat wave!
"I've come to terms that all of you are crazy."
Each of them shouted out a response of agreement with me. This made me chuckle in amusement. I found myself rambling around them, not quite sure what to do.
My boots crunched the sand in a satisfying manner, talking swift movements toward Kobra.
He looked up and made a silly face. I giggled at the way he acted when the boys weren't paying us attention.
"Foxy, oh baby listen now."
I pecked his lips, trying my best to move away quickly. His arms extended out towards me to grasp onto my hips and pull me to him.
His lips smacked into mine without hesitation, "aren't you going to love me?"
I pretended to gag but squealed when he slapped my ass. I slapped his arm harshly and walked away when he let me go.
I felt the redness go to my face when Ghoul whistled.
"Let's get a move on!" Party shouted at us.
Kobra Kid and I mounted my motorbike as the boys dusted us.
Kobra had us arms strongly wrapped around my waist as I kept speeding up.
"If things turn out well then we can have a little celebration between us," he said seductively.
"Princess! Watch where you're going!" Ghoul shouted as I almost crashed into their vehicle.
In him doing that made me a bit jumpy. I didn't expect him to do that while I was driving at insane speeds next to a trans am.
Kobra laughed, the vibrations of his laughter soothed me a tad bit.
"I swear to god I'll send you to the trans am!"
There was no response so I figured he'd shut up. I quickly let go of the right handle to turn up the radio.
"I can hear it callin' me the way it used to do
I can hear it callin' me back home!
Babe, I'm gonna leave you
Oh, baby, you know, I've really got to leave you
Oh I can hear it callin 'me
I said don't you hear it callin' me the way it used to do?"Led Zeppelin was basically my fuel through tour the day. I made Show Pony air Zeppelin at least five times a day. Complaints have been made about them being overplayed, but who was I to compromise?
Never ever would I let them down by giving other Killjoys the benefit of hearing someone else.
Ghoul stuck his hand out of the window and signaled for us to stop. I hit the brakes slowly as the pulled over next to small shop.
"Party needed some cigs," Ghoul informed us as Party dashed into the store without hesitation.
"Kobra! Take your hands off of me," I grumbled.
He kept pestering me, "that's it get off!"
Party walked out of the store with a lit cig in between his lips. The intoxicating smell of the cigarettes made me crave them.
Kobra got off and made Ghoul get in the back because he wanted shotgun.
Getting back onto our route, I figured it be fun to race them. Obviously this would make us recah our destination quicker, but also burn more gas. I passed a city limits sign and cheered in triumph because I had won.
We neared a rusted sign with the spray painted words saying: Battery City 1 mile.
The boys turned to take a left while I kept going forward. They had to park the car somewhere hidden so it made it easier to escape. If they got caught then they would be running a mile no matter what.
I on the other hand had someone from the inside who could get me in with a motorbike.
Soon enough I neared the city fence protecting the citizens inside. I turned off my bike and walked it a few feet away from sight so I could find my guy.
"Mars Beam?" I approached a lanky figure holding a portion of the fence open for me to get the bike and myself in.
They closed the fence forcefully and guided us through an alley. He told me to leave the bike on the left side of the building behind a trash bin.
We stopped by the second biggest trash bin and he grabbed a stick so he could pull down the escape latter. He helped me up so I able to get into the first floor room. I got there and looked around for a bit to secure I was safe.
"How many did I kill?" I asked when he made it through the window.
"Five," he answered.
I felt a pang a guilt knowing they were just innocents.
He rummaged through boxes and handed restricted colored cloths for me. I peeled off my clothing and put on the cloths. I went over to the sink and rubbed off all the dirt from my face to make it seem I was actually from this city.
Beam helped me with my hair so that it looked presentable and not ratty.
"If I don't get caught, I'm showering."
He laughed to my comment when I looked at how much dirt was coming off of my skin.
"REN has your wheel chair ready at the living room so you guys better get a move on," Beam hurries me into the living room. I found REN waiting next to the chair.
"Samantha," he greeted me nicely.
I sat myself down just as he placed a grey blanket on top of my legs. I knew the city by heart and yet I found it so troubling to know where everything was. I was an out of place object.
He pushed me along the streets to get to the hospital in the middle of this hell hole to retrieve some medicine for Jet. As we passed through the alleys I saw the boys hiding and trying there best to get their supplies. As for Kobra, he was exposing himself to retrieve more information.
He had told us that he possibly knew how to stop the production of the pills.
