Dear...

Months had passed by pretty quickly. The end of the year approaching rather slowly unlike its usual sped up time.

There still was no sight of Korse, which made me quite furious. I'd go on long runs just to find a trace of him but, nothing.

Nothing ever showed up in this dump.
...

My fist collided into a Dracs chest to knock some air out of it before I grabbed its head and bashed it against the car's window. Soon the body laid limp beneath my feet, I forcefully rolled it over to attack a few more.

From afar I could see a massive dust cloud heading our way. I cursed and went for cover so I could shoot without being seen.

"Party we need other people!" I grunted when he was to occupied with two Dracs.

Seeing Party and Kobra fight Dracs now n days still gave me anxiety. I'd love to tell you how I enjoy to boast about my exquisite aim but as of now, I'm a bad shot like Kobra. So the shaking I was going through was either from the anxiety. The shaking put all of us in danger because my aim is terribly off, completely missing the target.

"Party! We have to go, there's no way in hell we can come out alive from this!"

Party fired a few shots while he backed away from some fights to reach where I was. Graciously he dove back into fighting, I cursed and ran to the car for something.

The trunk of the car popped open for me to see what was inside. I moved a few boxes around to find at least another ray gun or a bomb.

"Fuck!" I slammed the hood and ran back into action with Party.

If he hadn't decided to stick around to fight these Dracs we'd probably have back up by now.

"Party turn left!"

He did as I said without hesitation and dodged a laser beam. I was grateful to say the least he was following orders and not doing his own thing.

There was at least an other handful of Dracs surrounding us by the time we finished off.

"Die with your masks on!"

I could feel the tension in the air as they circled us. Not giving us an option, we come out of this alive, fighting.

As practiced before Party and I got back to back to prepare for the worst. My ray gun was aimed at exactly the height of their heads. As for Patty his gun was aimed a bit lower, the knees.

"Die with your masks on," I fired the first shot without much thought.

The drac collapsed in seconds as well did the ones Party shot in the knees for me to shoot.

It seemed beautifully scripted, our actions, their actions. It all seemed to me like a stage being used by us.

My mind retracted back to the real life to notice the now oozing wound of blood on my upper arm.

"Party how are you doing?"

I dodged a few laser beams before starting to shot once again. This time I managed to kill off three in a row.

"I'm fine! Take down these two and I'll do the other two!"

He parted with me and collided with the two Dracs. His gun laid limp on the floor, I wanted to toss my gun at him but that would be useless seeing as he was too distracted to catch it.

I rolled myself onto the floor to get an other gun from the Dracs before the ones on my tail killed me. I kicked one in the groin area when it got to close and lifted the two guns in their directions.

Only one managed to go down, the other held onto their left shoulder as it fell. I shot its head instantly and rolled on my stomach to shot the drac Party was fighting.

He looked around and only saw the lifeless bodies around us. Soon he jogged up to me to help me up from the floor.

"You know the routine."

I rummaged through their pockets to find anything useful. I'd find cigarettes and carbons.

Party tossed me a box to place all the items we found including the guns. After we did this, we went into the cars to search for water.

When I opened the trunk to one of the cars I found druggie heaven. My eyes witnessed the many adrenaline pills in baggies. My hand grasped one of the bags to open it. The small yellow bottle fit in my hand with ease, I emptied the bottle completely and put them in my pocket. Party ran up to me shorty after, only whistling when he saw what was in the back.

"BTK," he told out loud.

Business Trade with Killjoys.

He placed the bags in his box and looked for anything else.

"We should leave, if this was a trade then there will be more."

Party agreed with me this time.

The both of us walked back to the trans am in silence. The car turned on with a soft murmur, Party flicked on the headlights.

"At one point you're going to have to face Kobra."

I placed my feet on top of the dashboard, not paying much attention to Party's nonsense.

"About what?"

Party adjusted his seat while maintaining a cold stare at me, the leather on leather rubbing sound made me cringe.

"You know exactly what! You're dealing with withdrawals, do you think I'm blind? Better yet stupid! I see you look for those stupid pills."

My body froze in its seat, barely wanting to move a muscle.

"Keep your nose away from my business, I'm fine. I can quit whenever."

He shook his head, "once a junkie is always a junkie."

"Oh piss off! Just focus on your life. If it makes you feel at ease I'll tell Kobra tonight."

He didn't say much after. He only spoke to me when it had to do with the radio, if someone was following, or to take my dirty shoes off his precious car.

The radio buzzed out for a while until it returned to normal. This time someone was airing live to give an announcement like usual.

"Any sights of Val Velocity shall be reported immediately. That's all killjoys, time to sign off for a while."

The station went dead silent until Dr.Ds song started playing.

"Shit!" Party stepped on the gas to go faster.

"You don't think he-"

"I'm thinking the same thing Honey."
