Kobra Kid's POV

"-You can go but I promise you this, you'll only come back to find nothing of me."

It struck me that my own words stung, maybe for once I had gone too far. Made me want to take it back and apologize profusely to Honey.

Something in me didn't allow me. Was it the anger in me or the truth that stung?

I left the two to discuss further more what I dropped. As soon as I stepped foot into my confined room it dawned on me how upset I was over a woman I had no true idea about. All she was- was an idea in my mind, an idea she let herself be.

Steam blew out of my ears, I swear I felt the anger in me rise to a high boiling point. Ready to explode the thermometer, in this case myself.

She couldn't be a Zone 7 trainee like my brother so calls them. By the looks of her face, she didn't see herself as that, she wasn't one to be misguided by them.

"God she's going to hate me!" I slammed the plan of my hand on the non-sturdy desk.

It shook from the impact and soon gained its balance it once owned. Slowly my body turned to the closet of my room.

Gently my hands grasped the door handle for me to take a look at the inside. The remaining contents of my wife's clothes struck out quite a lot from my clothes. I moved them aside to look at the dangling necklace she placed in here.

A sliver necklace with the plastic yellow ring as the main sight. I took the necklace into my lanky hand and yanked it away from its peaceful place.

I really out did myself this time, maybe sex could work things out between us. Somehow it always worked out things for us, worked miracles. Some man I am for thinking this.

Ach whatever it's not like she's actually considering to stay here to please me. She'd never do such a monstrosity to herself, to us.

If she did go, find them there, she would come looking for me. Of course I'd be ashamed for even leaving her to face her. Then there's the latter, she doesn't forgive me and doesn't come back to me.

How could I apologize now!

"Coffee," I whispered to myself.

She loves coffee, as all of us did in the past. Such things don't come 'round here without a high price. Obviously enough the Nest indulged such a luxury for themselves. To bad their precious leader turned out to be a murderer and a kid snatcher.

My apology must account for at least something before she leaves and doesn't bat an eye in my direction when she returns.

The mini radio on my desk soon caught my attention when I knew my plan. I radioed in one of the ultra V's to send in the necessary for a regular black coffee to my old base.

Just I finished my orders, I heard the loud cackling of my brother. I got tempted to take a look for myself but contained myself to stay put.

...

2:18 a.m.

The loud bang of a body hitting a wall disrupted my thinking. Just as I was about to check on the two outside, Honey walked into the room completely shit faced.

"Poison look what you've done!" She laughed very loudly.

She desperately clung herself to Party as she walked to the bed. Party sat her her down as slow as he could so he wouldn't hurt themselves in the process. Immediately it was clear to me that Party let her get a bit carried away with the alcohol.
