CHAPTER 14
Martin closed the connection with Vivian and hung up his coat that he'd thrown on the chair. He left his briefcase on the desk and immediately went downstairs. After passing through the checkpoint security, he entered the laboratory. "Rosie, prepare yesterday's notes for data base download and make the preparations to teleport the samples I am preparing for Vivian."
"What, no 'Good Morning?' Is this going to be another day like yesterday?"
"Sorry, I guess in fact, it is." Martin took the appropriate samples and placed them on the rotation belt for teleportation through the chamber. He knew Rosie would do the rest.
"Rosie, after completing the teleportation, check h-mail and initiate usual responses, analyze the last set of samples taken from the greenhouse and formulate a report. Send it to me and copy Vivian. Oh, also coordinate my notes on the home files and give me any updates regarding Dr. Donatez and the security glitch. I'll be working upstairs for most of the morning. And one more thing, when you get through, just let me know."
"Already done, h-mails finished – teleportation procedures complete on this end-waiting for home computer's signal to transport - confirmed reports - finished and sent, files - available to you on all computer stations. Oh, and by the way Dr. K, a report containing all the work already completed since our last communication, has already been sent to your computer! As soon as the teleportation is complete, I will advise you that I am free!"
Martin was annoyed at how she always ended up winning these skirmishes. "Fine! Proceed as usual," Martin conceded. He left the laboratory thinking, "When I get time I need to reprogram Rosie's sarcasm sub-routine."
