I Watch You Sleep At Night

YASMINES P.O.V—
11:00pm—

"Mom I'm going to bed now." I said and I walked out of the living room.
"Alright Goodnight sweetie." I heard her say as I went up the stairs.

Allison was sleeping over tonight and she was already in my room texting on her phone.

"You're moms so sweet to let me stay over again." She smiled not taking her eyes off her phone screen.
"Well you're one of my friends so she's not gonna say no to you staying over."

"True."

I walked over to the switch and I turned the light off.
I jumped into bed and went under the covers.

"Goodnight." I said before falling asleep.

3 HOURS LATER—

I was fast asleep until I heard a creaking sound coming from the floor boards.
"Ally is that you?" I asked without opening my eyes but either way I couldn't see anything because it was pitch black.

There was no response so I slowly opened my eyes. My eyes got used to the darkness and I could just about see now.

"Allison?" I sat up and I saw someone else standing there.

I screamed at the top of my lungs after seeing Kendall staring at me with a grin on her face.

I quickly turned on the lamp but when I turned it on, she wasn't there anymore.
"Yaz what's wrong? Why did you scream?" Allison jumped.

I took a deep breath "No I could've sworn I saw someone there."
"Who?"

Kendall.

I didn't respond back and Allison laid back down on her air mattress.
"I bet you just imagined it, now go back to sleep." She sighed.

No I could've sworn I saw Kendall.

"Yeah maybe I did?"
I turned the lamp off and laid back down in my bed.

I DID see someone, I know I did.

I stared at the ceiling and my eyes began getting heavier as they slowly shut.

THE NEXT MORNING—

I was ready for school and both Allison and I ran downstairs and into the kitchen.

I saw my mom sitting at the table with a cup of coffee in her hand. She was gazing and I walked up to her to see what was wrong.

"Mom is everything alright?" I asked and she finally came back to reality.
She looked up at me "I could've sworn I locked it?"

Huh?

"What are you talking about? Locked what?" I asked.
"The front door, I woke up this morning and it was open."

My eyes widened when I heard that and so did Allison's.

"I doubled locked it last night but I saw that the latch was unlocked and so that the other lock."
So someone was in my room last night?

"Wait so does that mean?"
"I wasn't dreaming." I interrupted Allison and my jaw dropped.

I did see Kendall.

"Huh?" Mom looked at us both confused.

"Nothing it's fine." I said and I grabbed my backpack and walked towards the front door.
Before walking out the door, I examined the door and checked how the lock could've been opened.

I looked at the key lock and I saw something wedged inside.
"Yaz What are you doing?" Allison asked me but I didn't respond.

I took out Whatever what was in the door and it was a Bobbie pin.
So someone used this Bobbie pin to open the lock?
