My senses sharpened as I looked at my prey, following each movement carefully without revealing my presence, or for that matter, my intentions. Silently looking from afar, I payed closed attention to the soft sounds, the whispers, and the laughter.

Yes, I was so familiar to this hunting process: the chase, the approach and finally the shoot... Problem was, I could not shoot this one; all my knowledge in armory was useless in this situation. Giving out my presence in that living room I sighed, putting the newspaper down while my eyes instantly traveled to my prey... Excuse me, to _______, my sisters tutor and friend.

She tucked her hair behind her ear as she smiled at Lily, finally closing that damned book and rising her sight to meet mine... Wait, what? I had been discovered! So much for keeping my prey from noticing me.
- We are finished for today Vash- she said smiling.... That annoyingly sweet smile.
- You are free to go then... - I blurted unconsciously.
- Brother! Excuse him ______, he means we'll be happy to welcome you tomorrow- intervened Lily, as she always did.
- Thank you for the translation Lily- and again that killer smile emerged from her lips... To torture me apparently- I'm off then, goodnight- she said approaching the door.
- Wait ______! it's truly dark outside, let Vash take you home.
- Me? - I said astonished.
- Yes! It's the least you can do! Now go, go!- she said practically pushing us outside.
In what seemed like a second, we were both on the outer side of the door... Drowning in a heavy and awkward silence.
- Vash... If you don't... - she started.
- Let's go- I sighed- Lily is right, you have been nothing but nice to us, this is only fair... Besides, I don't want nothing happening to you- I whispered the last part, a little embarrassed about mouthing such a cheesy phrase.
- Thank you!- she said sounding suddenly cheerful... Granting me a smile like non other I had seen from her.
Then it hit me... Lily was a better hunter than me in this situation, and without realizing it, I had already shoot my prey.
