"______" he whispered once.
"_____" he whispered twice.
"_____, wake up" he whispered for the third time, shaking her this time.
"Mmmm" she grunted, not pleased with being woken up in the middle of the night.
"______, I think I saw something outside, a shadow" he said in a little voice.
"Again?" She said rolling over to face him. "It's the third time in the month you say 'you saw some shadow outside". Last time it was just a cat" she said, barely opening her eyes.
"That cat had bad intentions!" He replied too enthusiastically for the time being.
"Shhh... fine, I'll get up" she sighed annoyed. "But first tell me: did you see a horror movie today?"
"Well... it was a thriller." He admitted.
"Ugh... this better not be your imagination... again" she said annoyed, placing her feet inside of her slippers.
"I'll go behind you" he said in a little voice.
"Fine Al" she said grabbing her flash light, which was placed conveniently in her night stand.
She walked silently to the nearest window, looked out and saw nothing. Then, she kept walking around the house, with Alfred following not so close behind. She checked every corner and every window, until she reached the main door, where she heard cracklings.
"You might be right this time" she said quietly.
"See?!" He kind of whispered.
"Oh shush... go find a bat or something" she said annoyed.
He just stuck his tongue out in response.
While he walked to the closet, she got went to the door, to look out the peephole: there she found the shadow. A small and chubby shadow that slowly took the familiar form of Alfred friend.
"Al! You locked Tony outside!" She said in a loud voice, actually more relieved than angry.
"Tony? Wasn't he working on something in the ceiling?" Said Alfred poking his out the closet.
"I was! I told you not to lock the door, idiot!" Said the distinctive voice of Tony, as soon as ______ opened the door.
"You did not!" Replied Alfred "Wait... Oh..." he laughed nervously "I was watching a movie" he said scratching his head.
"______!" Said Tony, almost turning red.
"Oh fine you two... it's like having toddlers!" she said exasperated "Tony, I'm sorry.... grab something from his stack of candy" she said pointing to the kitchen.
"Hey but that's..."
"Shush... You are grounded. No more movies for a week" She said almost menacing.
"Yes, ma'm" he sighed.
"Now, all to bed" she said followed by a yawn. "And you mister..."
"Y-yes!" he answered right away, running by her side.
"Come scary cat, help me fall sleep" She smiled taking his hand on the way to their bedroom.
