Fallen

Chapter 45

His eyes glow as he continues to smile. The most evil smile I have ever seen in my life. The man pushes his hand through Zayns chest, grabbing his non beating heart.

Everything seems to be happening in slow motion. Harry falls to his knees and out of Zayns headlock. Jess screams her lungs out. I.. Well I stand there. Watching. Watching it all. Watching William destroy my friend to pieces.

Jess falls to floor begging for him to stop. Harry turns around and starts yelling along with Jess. His eyes glossy.

"STOP! PLEASE! ZAYN!!" She cries and cries. I look at her and remember the last time this happened. Well the last time Zayn left.

I know what it feels like to lose someone. I know how it feels like you're dying along with that person. I know what it feels like to cry like your insides have been ripped out because mentally they have.

"Jess! Stop!" I try grabbing her as she crawls to put zayn back together.

"Harry!" I look over at him and he's already on top of William. I see movement to my left and notice it's Niall.

I'm here to help. I hear him say and trust him. He sprints towards Harry and kicks William in the face.

"Jess. Stop. He's gone." I grab her arm only for her to slap me.

"Get away from me! I can't leave him like this."

"Jess! Then get mad! Get so mad you could just kill William. Hurt him like he has hurt you." I try getting her to forget Zayn just for a second to help us.

Before I know it she's on top of William just like the other boys are.

"Ellie hurry!" Harry screams at me and each of them are holding William down. I rush over and look at William. His eyes are crazy and he's thrashing about. He looks at me and I feel like crying. I can't do this.

My mind flashes back to the day he gave me his number. The day we became friends. I can't.

"Ellie. For us.." Harry looks at me. I look at him, Jess and the blonde I'm still unsure about. I put my hand around his head like everyone else. Jess looks at me still crying and nods her head.

Ellie it's okay.

I hear a distance whisper and look down to see William nod at me a little. He stops thrashing and closes his eyes.

"One. Two. Three!" We all pull up and it's over. I stumble back and fall to the floor. His body turns into ash and he's gone.

"He's gone." Harry says to me while helping me up. I look around and zayn is also gone, and Liam. The area around us looks like a scene from a zombie movie. Broken trees. Ripped clothes. Dark sky.

"Can we go please." I turn around to see Jess shaking, staring at the spot she left zayn.

"Yeah. Let's go." I grab her hand and we make our way down the drive way.

"Uh. Harry!" We turn around to see Niall a little ways down the drive way holding keys and standing next to a car.

"William obviously won't need it anymore. I don't want you guys to have to walk." He hands Harry the keys to Williams car and smiles. He turns around and begins walking back inside the house.

"Niall?" Harry calls out. Niall stops and turns around.

"Are you gonna stay here.. Alone?"

"Uh yeah haha." Niall scratches the back of his head nervously.

"Get in." I smile at him and gesture to the car.

"Are you sure?" He looks at me then back to Harry.

"Definitely." Harry smiles and gets in the car. Niall gets into the passenger seat and Harry begins the drive home.

We are all coved in dirt. Mine and jesses hair is a complete rats nest. Harry's shirt is ripped and Nialls hair crazy.

We all sit in loud sobs of Jesses heart break. I hold her in my arms hoping to try and lessen the pain. And stare out the window.

"What now." I whisper to Harry.

"We wait."
