Katniss P.O.V

After we got home from the beach everyone went straight to bed and we dropped Alex and Ashton home. I'm currently laying on Peetas chest while he snores softly and I can't sleep. He's been asleep for about an hour and I've been staring at the ceiling for about an hour. I sigh and carefully crawl out of bed , careful not to disturb Peeta. I stand up and quietly walk to the kitchen. When I get there I make some hot chocolate and sit on the couch, taking sips as it warms my throat. Just as I'm about to take another sip my phone rings. I quickly answer it. "Hello?" I say. "Katniss is that you?" The familiar voice of Calum Hood says. "Yeah it's me , why are you phoning. It's like 3am" I say. "Sorry did I wake you" he says panicking. "No I couldn't sleep." I say. "Good do you still have that bracelet that Nicole left?" He says. "No what one?" I say. "She said she left it outside on the porch" he says and I sigh while standing up. "You want me to look?" I ask. "Yeah" he says. I walk to the door and unlock it and open it. I walk out but bump into something. I look up to see Calum grinning at me. "CALUM!" I whisper shout and he laughs. "Quiet , it's a surprise" he says and I nod. "Where are the others?" I whisper. "They're just coming" he says. "I missed you" he says and I smile. "I missed you too Calybear" I say ruffling his hair. He sticks his tongue out at me and I laugh. "Katniss?" I hear someone say and I look behind Calum to see Luke, Ashton and Michael. "Hey guys!" I whisper and pull them all into a hug. "Nice hair" I say motioning to Michaels purple hair. "Thanks" he says smiling. "So is everyone in bed?" He asks me. "Well it is 3 am so most likely." I say and he laughs. "Come in" I say and they all follow me to the living room. "Want some hot chocolate " I ask and they all nod. "Be right back" I whisper and walk into the kitchen and make 4 more hot chocolates. I walk back in when I'm done and give them one each. "Thanks" they all say in unison and then laugh slightly. I roll my eyes and smile. "So what did we miss?" Calum asks. "Nothing much. Catos little brother is staying for the week" I say. "I didn't know he had a brother" Ashton says. "Me either" I say and Luke looks at me confused. "Long story" I say. "We've got time" Luke says and I smile. "Okay so his little brother has dyslexia and is paralysed from the waist down. He was bullied badly and Cato was protective of him and James didn't want us to know about him so he made Cato promise not to tell us and we only found out because he had to stay for the week" I say and they all nod. "I suppose that makes sense" Ashton says. We are all sprawled out along the couch and my head is resting on the side of it. We all talk for a little while until I become really sleepy and fall into darkness.

-----The Next Morning-----

I wake up to everyone looking at me weirdly and I sit up , rubbing my eyes. I had such a weird dream that cal- someone snoring beside me disturbs my thoughts and I look to my side to see Calum. "Calum" I say shaking him. "Calum!" I say louder when he doesn't stir. He groans and sits up. "Surprise!" He says when he sees everyone and they laugh. "When did you come?" Clove says hugging him. "3am" he says grinning. "Katniss did you know they were coming?" She asks me. "I knew they were coming, I just didn't know when" I say and she huffs. "Why did she get to know?" She asks. "Because she's my besto" Calum says slinging an arm around my shoulder and clove laughs. The other boys start to stir and soon wake up. "Surprise!" They all tell when they se everyone and everyone laughs. "Clove!" Michael says and hugs her. "Johanna!" He yells and hugs her too. "Finch!" He shouts. "Okay we will be here all say of you do that" Luke says. "CATO!" Someone screams from upstairs. "Be right back" he says running upstairs. I hope James is alright. 'Alex , Calum , Ashton, Luke and Michael are here' I send through mind link. 'OMG really!' She sends back and I smile. 'I'll come pick you up' I send. 'Yay! Thanks Kat' she sends back. 'No problem' I send. "I'm going to get Alex and Ashton" I say and they all nod. "CAN I COME!" Calum shouts and I nod. "Sure, just let me change" I say laughing slightly. I run upstairs and go into my bedroom. I pick out some skinny jeans , a red peplum top and red wedges. I go to the bathroom and put some dry shampoo in my hair and leave it natural. I get washed and brush my teeth before starting makeup. I out some light foundation, a smokey eye and nude lipstick. When I'm ready I walk downstairs and grab the keys. "Calum I'm leaving!" I shout and he comes over to me. "Let's go" I say and we walk to the car. We hop in and start driving to Alex's. "Katniss I need advice" Calum says. "What's wrong?" I ask concerned. "Uh well there's this girl. She perfect. Her smile , her eyes , her hair , her laugh" he says and I nod. "I want to just grab her and kiss her or hug her or just hold her. But the thing is she probably doesn't feel the same way as I do but I-I think I love her" he says and I glance at him and he is looking at the ground sadly. "Does this girl have a name?" I ask as I turn into district 12z "Her name is Sophie" he say smiling. "And where is Sophie now?" I ask. "Back in Australia. She is a fan" he says and I smile. "And you're telling me that a fan would turn you down?" I ask and he laughs. "Well she was a fan but she became a close friend" he says smiling slightly. "Well what are you going to do?" I ask. "Nothing" he says and I stop the car outside a random house. "Nothing!" I say and he nods. "No that's not what you do to win a girls heart because before you know it she will have a new boyfriend and you my friend will be stuck in the friends zone" I say and he looks at me. "Really?" He says an so smile. "Really. What you need is to make a huge romantic gesture. Show up on her doorstep with flowers and just kiss her. Show her how you feel. You don't need words to do that" I a aha nod he smiles. "On a completely unrelated topic how long is your break?" I ask. "Uh we have 3 weeks off" he says and I smile. "Calum" I say. "Yeah?" He asks. "We're going to Australia" I say smiling. "What!" He says. "I can't , I'm not Ashton or Michael. I'm not confident enough to do that!" He says. "Well you're going to have to get over it because we're leaving tomorrow" I say and start the car. "And everyone is going but you don't have to tell them. It can be our secret. Oh and don't worry about travel. I'll organise everything" I say and he smiles. "Thanks Kat" he says smiling and I nod. "My pleasure" I say and keep driving until we get to Alex's house. "I'll be right back" I say and walk up to the door. I knock and soon hear footsteps coming towards the door. "Hey sweetheart" Haymitch says as he answers smiling. "Alex and Ashton are jut coming" he says and I nod. "Okay , where's Effie?" I ask. "She's in the living room" he says. "I need to talk to you two for a minute" I say just as Alex and Ashton come down. "You two go and see Calum. He's in the car and I'll be out in a minute." I say and they nod while saying bye and running out. "This way" Haymitch says and I follow him. "Hello Katniss , please sit" Effie says and I smile while taking a seat. "What's up?" Haymitch asks. "Well we are all going to Australia tomorrow and I want to know if you want to come" I say smiling. They both look at each other and then back at me. "Well the thing is , I was going to ask you to watch Alex and Ashton because me and Haymitch are going away for our 10 year anniversary to Paris in three days" she says and I nod. "Well I would be happy to take them with me." I say smiling and she smiles too. "Katniss that would be wonderful. Thank you so much" she says happily and I nod. "No problem. I'll phone you later with details" I say and she nods. "Bye Katniss" she says as I leave. "Bye" I say and walk towards the car. "Hey guys guess what?" I say. "What?" They ask. "You're coming with me I Australia tomorrow" I say casually. "WHAT!" They both shout and me and Calum laugh. "You heard me" I say and they both hug each other and then me and Calum. "Thank you so much!" Alex says. "We'd love for you to come" I say smiling. "Now just to tell the others" I say.
