Good to get away

Katniss P.O.V

For the rest of the night we all just meet people and gale spent time with his family, Johanna lectured Adam and Amelia has stared at Rory the whole time. Looks like someone has a crush. It's getting really late and I'm so tired from the flight and not sleeping. "Hey sleepy head" Peeta says wrapping his arms around me from behind. "That obvious?" I ask and he chuckles. "Yup" he says and I roll my eyes. "Want to go home?" He asks me. "Hmm I don't know. Why would I want to go home?" I say sarcastically. "So we can go to bed" he says kissing my cheek. "And cuddle" he says and I smile. "Okay" I say and he nods. "Let's go tell the others" I say and he nods while taking my hand. "Okay" he says and we walk over to where everyone is sitting. "We're going to head home" I say and they nod. "Us too" Finnick says standing up with a fast asleep Annie in his arms. I laugh slightly. "Are the rest staying?" I ask and they nod. "See you guys later" I say and they all wave and say goodbye. "Let's go see Silvano" Finnick says and we make our way over to them. "Hey we're heading home" I say and he nods. "I'll come home with Cato" he says and I nod while smiling. "Bye" I say and give him a hug. "Bye" he says smiling and I let go. Everyone else says goodbye and then we all head to my car. "I'll drive" Peeta says kissing my forehead. "I call shotgun!" Finnick says and I laugh. "Fine" I say and he smiles. "Yay!" He shouts and Annie stirs. "Yay" he whisper shouts and I sigh. "Just get in the car" I say and he obliges while jumping in next to Peeta.

Peeta P.O.V

By the time we get home Katniss Annie and Finnick are asleep. And I would carry Annie and Katniss in but I am not carrying Finnick so I'll wake him up. "Finnick" I say and he opens his eyes slightly before groaning. "What" he says. "We're home" I say and he nods before getting out the car. He picks Annie up and carried her bridal style. "Night" he mumbles while carrying her upstairs. I take Katniss up to bed and change her into one of my t-shirts. I brush the hair out of her face and lay her on her pillow. I put the covers over her before climbing in next to her. I take my shirt off and pull her into my chest. I smile slightly and kiss her cheek. "I love you" I whisper before closing my eyes and joining her in sleep.

I wake up in the morning with Katniss still in my arms. I kiss her forehead and close my eyes again. "Peeta" Katniss says and I open my eyes. "Yeah?" I ask. "Do you think well last forever?" She says and I smile. "I hope so" I say and she smiles. "Like eternity. That's how long we'll be here" she says and I nod. "I hope so" I say smiling. She nods and cuddles into my chest. "I love you" she says. "Love you too" I tell her. "It's gales birthday" I say and she shoots up. "What!" She shouts interrupting me and I laugh. "You didn't let me finish. It's gales birthday next week" I say and she nods. "Well you know what this means ........ Surprise party" she whisper shouts and I laugh slightly. "Okay , location?" I say. "Location for where?"he says walking into the room. "What?" I say. "You just said location" he states. "It's a book" Katniss says and he nods. "Okay it's probably going to bore me to death and I'm immortal. So I just came to tell you breakfast is ready" he says and Katniss smirks.

Katniss P.O.V

I smirk and transport down to the kitchen. "Boo" I say as I end up on a seat around the table. "AHHHH!" Clove screams and I laugh. "What?" I ask and she glares at me. "Ouch okay!" I shout and she laughs evilly. I roll my eyes and grab a pancake and fruit. "Morning" I say. "Morning" they groan and Peeta and gale walk in. "What the hell just happened?" Gale asks and I laugh slightly. "Transportation" I say and he nods.

After eating breakfast ruby asked me to go to the ocean with her to visit the mermaids and see how they are doing after the whole war thing. So I out a bikini and shorts with a t-shirt over it. "You ready?" Ruby asks and I nod. "Yeah, let's go" I say and we walk out the door. We go to the shoreline and count to three before jumping into the ocean. It takes a few seconds to change but when we do we swim towards the entrance. We smile as we enter but they soon fade as we see them. People are swimming around like crazy and there's people crying and all the shops are closed. I quirk an eyebrow and we continue to swim through and it gets worse and worse. Everyone seems so confused. "What's going on!" Ruby says loudly. "EVERYONE LISTEN!" I scream and everyone stops dead in their tracks. "What's wrong?" Ruby asks and they all look at each other worriedly. "The queen is dead" someone says and Ruby gasps. "When?" I ask. "In the war. Saved all of us" another says and I look at Ruby worriedly. "Well who was next in line?" She asks and someone sighs. "We don't know. All the queen has is in the castle but ton body wants to go into it" a girl says. "Why not?" Ruby asks sighing. "It's the queens house. We have never been invited in" she says and Ruby smiles. "Good thing I have then" she says before grabbing my arm and swimming off somewhere. We soon come across a big White Castle and Ruby drags me through the gates. "C'mon" she says and we continue through. "Are you allowed ?" I ask and she nods. I sigh and we keep going. We go through the door and enter the castle. It's huge. It has huge chandeliers and Marble floors. I smile and look around. "Let's see, we can find out upstairs in her office. She has a computer that should have everything on it" she says and I nod. We go up the stairs. Even though we just swim and go to to he office. Ruby goes on the computer and browses through before finally coming to the page. "It says here that the next in line to the throne is........... EMERALD!" She screams and I cover my ears. "Emerald as in the emerald that we know?" I ask and she nods. "Well let's go tell her" I say. She just nods and we race to her house. Let's hope she takes the news well.
