Fire!

Katniss P.O.V

I wake up and snuggle into Peeta. It's really cold this morning. "Morning" he says startling me and I jump up. He laughs slightly. "Morning" I say smiling and lean down and kiss him. He smiles and pulls me into his chest. "Have a good sleep?" He asks and I nod. "You?" I say. "Yeah" he mumbles while playing with my hair. I smile and close my eyes. "I hope everything's good back home" he says and I laugh. "What the worse they can do?" I say.

Johanna P.O.V

"SOMEONE GET THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER!" I shout as clove runs about with a pot on fire screaming. Gale comes running in and makes it rain over it. The fire soon goes out and clove sighs. "Maybe Finnick should cook next time" gale says and I laugh. "Or we go out to eat" I say laughing slightly. They nod and clove sits the pot down. "I heard screaming!" Cato shouts and appears at the doorway half dressed with a baseball bat. "It's fine clove just set a pot on fire" I say and he rolls his eyes. "Well in that case I'm going to go and put the top half of my clothes on" he says and sits the bat down before walking upstairs. Clove laughs slightly "at least he brought a useful weapon" she says and I nod. "Yeah we have powers but we need weapons" I say and she laughs. "Want to go out today?" Gale asks me and I nod. "What did you have in mind?" I ask. "That's for me to know and for you to find out" he says before winking and leaving the room. "Be ready in half an hour" he says as he walks out. I groan and stand up before running to my room. I shove a bikini on, pick out a blue crop top on and some denim shorts before grabbing sunglasses and tying my hair up in a messy bun. I wash my face and brush my teeth before adding deodorant and perfume. When I'm done I put some flip flops on and head downstairs. "You ready?" Gale asks and I nod. He smiles and takes my hand and leads us outside. "Where are you taking me?" I ask and he smiles. He has such a cute smile. "Somewhere" he says and I roll my eyes. "Where is somewhere situated?" I ask. "In somewhere land" he says and I chuckle. This is going to he a great day.

Katniss P.O.V

Me and Peeta have decided that we'll go home today. We are just glad that we got a little break from everything. We have packed the car and are going on a walk in the woods. We have been walking for about five minutes and are just enjoying the nature. We are walking in silence and all you can hear is the sound of mockingjays copying each other up in the trees. "AHHHHH" I hear some thing scream and I look at Peeta. He looks around. "HELPPPPP!" Is all we hear before we start running towards the noise. When we get to where it came from we see a girl. She's stuck in some kind of trap and she's screaming for help. I quickly get her out and she jumps up and runs into my arms. She's only about 12 and she's crying. She steps back frightened and I turn around and see a vampire behind me with it's fangs out. All I hear is a scream before I black out.

I wake up and move around. There's a crunching of leaves underneath me. I sit up confused and look around. It was daytime. Where is Peeta? I look up at the sky to see the sun rising and there is no sign of a tent anywhere. Not even a clear path that I could have taken to get here. I start to get scared and stand up. "PEETA!" I scream and it echoes through the woods. "PEETA!" I scream louder. Nothing. I hear a noise behind me and turn around. There's nothing there. I'm standing in a circle with large trees towering over me and the sunlight cracking through the leaves. I sigh shakily and look down. I've not even got shoes on. All I have is my sweatpants and top on. "PEETA !" I scream again but nothing happens. I sigh and close my eyes. "Maybe this is all a dream. I feel so writing hit my head and everything goes black again. What's going on?

Peeta P.O.V.

I wake up and stretch my arms. I look to my left but Katniss isn't there. I get up panicked and run out of the tent. "KATNISS!" I scream but nobody answers me. I look in the trees near me but there's no sign of anyone ever being here. I sigh and start to run through the trees shouting her name. It's no use. Nobody is answering. There isn't even a sign if anyone else here. "Peeta" I hear someone whisper and spin around. Probably just my imagination. I keep running through and send her mind messages. She's not responding to me. I groan and keep running. I don't know where I'm going but I'll find my way. I push branches and plants out my way and tear some of my clothes. I don't care though. I just need to find Katniss. I sigh and run a hand through my hair. Where could she be? I run through another bush and fall down a slope this time. When I get to the bottom I stand up and what I see horrifies me. There's a man. He's dressed in all black from head to toe and his face is scarred. But it's not his appearance that scares me, it's what he's doing. He's poring something all over her. When he's done he takes out a match. NO! He's going to try kill her. I dive out and tackle the man. I glare at him sending him into serious pain. I think about breaking his keg and I hear a snap and look down to see him trying to clutch his leg. Did I just do that? I lift him up off the ground and send him flying into a tree. I go up to him and punch his as hard as I can. Which is like getting hut by a ton if bricks because if super strength. I hear is nose crack and I cringe. When I let go he falls to the ground and his nose is badly bruised. A few seconds later he stands up and cracks his back. What?! I sigh and glare at him again and he lands on the ground. And it's then that I see his fangs. Oh god it's a vampire. I look around for a big bit of wood and hold him in place with my hand. I come across a plank of it and sharpen it against a rock. I run over to the vampire who keeps trying to get to Katniss and stab him in the heart with the wooden plank. He screams and starts to disappear. I gulp and turn to Katniss who is soaked in whatever he just poured on her on her. I send a wind her way to dry her off and it takes all the liquid away. I shake her bugtshe doesn't respond so I pick her up and run back towards where the car is. When I get there I strap her in and jump in the other side , leaving the tent and everything behind and just grabbing a few things. I hop in and speed off to get home. As soon as I get to a main road where there is lots of cars I slow down. I look behind me and see a figure standing against a tree. He lifts a hand and waves. I take a deep breath and tears roll down my eyes. She could have died. He could have killed her. I soon enter district 12 and drive through the streets. My heart is racing and Katniss is still unconscious. My breathing is increasing by the minute and I feel like I'm going to vomit. I keep driving and soon get to our house. I jump out the car with tears still in my eyes and my heart thumping in my chest and carry Katniss inside. I run I to the living room where everyone looks at me worriedly and then at Katniss. "Get her on the couch" I say and Cato takes her off me and lays her on the couch. "What happened?" He asks. "I woke up in the tent and Katniss was gone. I couldn't find her anywhere. So I ran through the forest and eventually fell down a slope. I saw a man poring liquid on her. He then struck a match and I jumped out a glares at him and then I imagined breaking his leg and it happened. Then I knocked him out but he got back up and I realised he was a vampire so I made a wooden knife thing and stabbed his heart and he died and I just ran with Katniss then on the way out there was a man leaning against a tree and he waved at me and I took her home but she won't wake up" I say and clove comes over. "Okay calm down." She says and hugs me. I wrap an arm around her and take a deep breath. I was so scared" I say and she nods while squeezing me tighter. I smile slightly and she let's go. "Now we need to wake her up." Tyler says and we all nod. "Check for any bruises or wounds" clove says and we all nod. Cassie checks her legs and arms while Cato checks her head. "Oh god" he says and pulls his hand away to show blood. My eyes widen and I gulp. He sighs and makes a weird shape in the air over her making her groan and flicker her eyes open. I sigh in relief and run to her. "What happened?" I ask her and she looks at us all confused. "I was in the forest. There was a girl. I saved her. Then I woke up and there was leaves and I was hit. I don't know" she stutters and I pull her into a hug. She holds on tightly before letting go and looking around. "How did I get here?

Johanna P.O.V.

"Gale where are you taking me?" I say giggling and he smiles. "Here" he says and he let's me open my eyes again. I gasp as I see the glimmering rocks from a cave. There's moss growing up one wall and shiny blue water in the middle. "It's beautiful" I say. "Not as beautiful as you" he says and I blush. "Don't be cheesy" I say laughing. "Now how would that be fun?" He asks and kisses me. "Cause the less time that your cheesy the more time I get to kiss you" I say and he laughs. "You have all of eternity for that" he says and I smile. "Why wait?" I say poking his cheek and he rolls his eyes. "What do you want for your birthday?" I ask him changing the subject. "I want to spend time with my beautiful future wife" he says and I blush hard making him chuckle. "Yeah , well see" I say and he sticks his tongue out. "No seriously though." He says lacing his fingers with mine and faces me. "I'm going to ask you to marry me one day. And I'll keep asking until you say yes" he says closing the gap between us and I smile I to the kiss. "How did I get so lucky?" I ask laying my head on his chest and he wraps his arms around me. "I should be the one asking that" he says and sits us down against the rocks of the cave and we look at the beautiful water that fills the middle. "Yeah right. You saved my life" I say looking at him. He pushes a strand of hair behind my ear. "All the times I saw you with your old boyfriend. It would kill me and I couldn't do anything. And when you broke up with him and I was so happy. He was not a nice person. I was going to ask you out but I was scared incase you said no and it would wreck out relationship. And saving you that day was the best decision of my life" he says and a tear rolls down my cheek. " and I refused to move from your bedside" I say smiling slightly. "And when I woke up you were there" he says and I nod. "I was so happy. And then you said the last thing you remembered was me confessing my love to you in the middle of the road" I say chuckling slightly and he laughs. "And here we are now" he says leaning down and kissing me passionately. I kiss back and he runs a thumb across my cheek and sparks fly through my body. I collapse in his arms and let him hold me. "I love you Johanna" he whispers and I smile. "I love you too gale" I say.

Katniss P.O.V

I'm so confused and scared. I feel sorry for Peeta. I must have scared him to death. I feel terrible. "Hey why does it smell like fire in here?" Peeta asks and everyone looks at clove. "Cause I set fi-I-ire to a pot. Watched it burn and Gale sent the rain. Then the fire was out and gale was the one to tha-ank to tha-a-ank ohhhhhhhhhhh" she sings and everyone bursts out laughing. "A simple I set the pot on fire would have been sufficient" I say and she shrugs. "Oh well. "Now what do you say we all watch a movie ?" I ask. "I need to distract myself" I say and everyone nods. "To the movie room." Clove says in a deep voice and runs up the stairs. Finch flys after her and I transport there along with Peeta while everyone runs after them. When clove opens the door she screams and I laugh. "You're too easy" I say and she huffs before jumping onto a bed. "Oh can we watch ride along?" She asks and we all nod. "Sure , put it on" I say and she smiles as the rest run in. "We're watching ride along!" She shouts and Cato laughs. "He's about a chromosome away from being a midget" he says in a deep voice and I laugh. He winks at me and I shake my head. I get a slush puppy from the back and get Peeta one before sitting next to him. He smiles as I hand him his favourite drink and the movie starts. This has been an eventful day ..........

(A/N) I was at one of my best friends birthday party last night and then I went to my other best friends house afterwards and didn't get into midnight. Sorry. Anyway I have to keep this short. I have health and food technology homework and math homework 😔enjoy xx
