Chrismas Eve

(A/N) okay I need to get near Christmas so I'm going to fast forward a few months okay? I hope you don't mind and I actually realised something today. I don't think I can fit everything into this book. I don't know what to do.

Katniss P.O.V

I wake up to Peeta stirring next to me. I sit up and look over at him. He looks sad. I lay next to him and wrap my arms around his waist and cuddle into his chest. He flinches slightly and I cuddle into him and he wraps his arms around me. He keeps stirring so I lean up and kiss him softly. He kisses me back while he's still asleep and I smile slightly. I lay my hand on the side of his face and he calms down. A small smile tugs at my lips and I move my hand around his waist again. I look at the watch sitting on the bedside table to check the time and realise that I am going to be late for this interview thing with ashton. "Peeta" I say shaking him slightly and his eyes flicker open and e smiles when he sees me. "Yeah?" He asks. "Are you coming today?" I ask. "I don't know, do you want me to come?" He asks and I nod and smile. "Of course" I say and he kisses my cheek. "Then I'm coming" he says and hugs me tightly. We both get out of bed and Peeta heads to the shower while I go wake everyone for school. I go to Ashton's room first but he's already in the shower so I go next door. "How are you both feeling?" I ask them and they smile slightly. "Good" Silvano says. "You going to school?" I ask and they nod. "Okay well you need to be quick" I say and they both get up. I wake up prim and rue and then make them all breakfast before rushing upstairs to get in the shower. When I'm finished I head to the wardrobe and get clothes. I put on a black body con dress, a grey oversized cardigan and some black pumps. I put on my promise ring and my pearl necklace and spray perfume. When I'm ready I head to the bathroom and get washed and do makeup before doing my hair. When I'm finished I go to the bedroom and Peeta comes up and hugs me. "Ready?" I ask and he bites his lip. "Not quiet" he says crashing his lips on mine and I kiss back passionately. When he pulls away he smiles slightly and I peck his lips again. He wraps his arm around my waist and leads me downstairs. When we get there everyone is waiting on us. I smile and grab my keys. "We're all walking today" Silvano says. "Okay well I'll see you later then" I say and they all hug me bye. Me and Peeta walk out to the car with ashton and get in. "Where have we to go?" I ask. "We have to pick up Abigail and then go to the studio and our teacher is waiting there" he says and I nod. I drive to the house and Abigail gets in next to ashton and they both start talking. Peeta smiles over at me and takes my hand. We get to the studio and they both run inside. Me and Peeta follow them and end up beside the set. Abigail and Ashton are sitting on the couch and Abigail is getting makeup done while ashton laughs at her. He stands up and walks over to us. "Nervous?" I ask and he nods. "I'm trying to figure out a way to run without looking stupid." He says and I laugh slightly. "Just be yourself and you'll be fine. Don't say or do anything you'll regret" I say and he laughs slightly. "Thanks" he says and I hug him. "Good luck" I say and push him over to Abigail. "The hosts of the show come over and introduce themselves to Abigail and Ashton. Their music teacher comes over and stands with us and we wait for the show to begin.

Ashton P.O.V

"30 seconds!" A guy with a clipboard shouts and gets behind a camera. Abigail looks at me nervously and I smile slightly. "Good morning Panem!" The women who's name is Steph shouts and Abigail smiles at me. Katniss is smirking and I shake my head at her. "Today we are joined by internet sensation Ashton and Abigail" Rick says and we both smile at the camera. "So tell us" Steph says. "How long have you been singing?" She asks and I look at Abigail. "I mean I always enjoyed singing but I never really done it much" I say. "Yeah me too" Abigail says nervously.

After asking us a few questions we go to break. "You guys are doing great. Go stand over at the microphones and well introduce you and then you'll sing. We'll then go to another break and then we'll ask a few more questions and that's it" Steph says and we nod and go stand at the microphones. Katniss smiles at us and I wave at her. She waves back and Peeta wraps an arm around her and smiles at us. "3...2...1!" The guy shouts and Steph and Rick start talking again. "And now we go to Abigail and Ashton who are singing Broken strings" she says and the cameras all go towards us and he music starts. Abigail starts singing her part and I wait for mine. "Let me hold you, for the last time. It's the last chance to feel again. But you broke me.Now I can't feel anything." She sings and I start my part. "When I love you, It's so untrue. I can't even convince myself.When I'm speaking, It's the voice of someone else" I sing and then Abigail joins in. "Oh it tears me up, I try to hold on, but it hurts too much. I try to forgive, but it's not enough to make it all okay. You can't play on broken strings.You can't feel anything that your heart don't want to feel, I can't tell you something that ain't real" we sing and its Abigail again. "Oh the truth hurts and lies worse. How can I give anymore. When I love you a little less than before" she sings. "Oh what are we doing. We are turning into dust.Playing house in the ruins of us." We sing. "Running back through the fire, When there's nothing left to save. It's like chasing the very last train when it's too late" I sing."Oh it tears me up, I try to hold on, but it hurts too much. I try to forgive, but it's not enough to make it all okay" We both sing. We start the next part together and Abigail is grinning. "You can't play on broken strings. You can't feel anything that your heart don't want to feel. I can't tell something that ain't real. "Well truth hurts and lies worse. How can I give anymore.When I love you a little less than before" we sings "Let me hold you for the last time" she sings softy."It's the last chance to feel again" I finish and Steph and Rick start clapping. I wrap an arm around Abigail's waist and she lets out a shaky sigh. "You alright?" I ask and she nods. "I feel like there's an eagle flapping about in my stomach" she says and I see Katniss burst out laughing. "Your microphone is still on" I say laughing slightly and she goes bright red. We walk back over to the couches and sit down and just talk to each other until the breaks over. "So am I right in saying you two are just friends?" Steph asks and we both nod. "Yeah just friends" she says. "Do you have a boyfriend?" She asks Abigail and I smirk and she just nods. "Yeah" she says blushing. "What's his name?" She asks. "Uh Ronan" she says smiling. "What about you?" She asks me. "Alex" I say and she smiles. "That's sweet" she says and Rick chuckles. They ask us a few more before we say goodbye and head over to Katniss. "That was amazing" she says and I grin.
