New rooms and old friends

Katniss P.O.V

"Do you want to come downstairs. I just ordered pizza and were watching a movie?" I ask him and he nods. "Yeah I'll be down in a few minutes" he says and I nod while smiling slightly. "Okay" I say and leave the room. I walk downstairs and hear the bathroom tap running. He must be cleaning up. I walk into the living room and everyone's heads turn to me at the exact same time. "Okay seriously do you rehearse that?" I say and they laugh. "How's ash?" Johanna asks. "He'll be fine. He's coming down and try cheer him up okay?" I ask and they nod. "The pizza guy has been at the door for five minutes" clove says. "Seriously and you didn't answer it?" I ask and she shrugs. I grab my purse and go to the front door and open it. "Sorry my friends are extremely lazy" I say and the boy laughs. "It's fine. You're my last delivery. I have a date" he says bashfully and I smile while handing him cash. "Who's the special girl?" I ask and he blushes. "Guy?" I say and he nods. He works at a gift shop at the mall. His names Jonathan" he says. "Would that gift shop happen to be bits 'n' pieces?" I ask him and he smiles. "He gave me an idea for a present. Message in a bottle was a great gift by the way" I say smiling. "Thanks" he says smiling. "Keep the change" I say. "Thanks" he says and walks away while handing me the pizzas. I walk inside and put all the pizzas out just as Ashton comes down. Everyone smiles at him and he sits down next to jade. She whispers something to him and he nods. I grab plates and napkins before sitting down in my original spot. I grab a slice of pepperoni and devour it within five minutes. Peeta laughs slightly and I smile sheepishly. I grab another slice and eat that too while the movie plays in the background. We all just talk and cheer Ashton up. And after about 2 hours I go to bed and Peeta follows me. I flop onto the bed and close my eyes and Peeta rummages around looking for pyjamas. I eventually drift off to sleep.

"Katniss , someone is calling you!" I hear Calum's Australian accent shout through my phone. "Answer your phone" they all say. "ANSWER THE PHONE!" They all scream and I groan while picking it up. "Hello" I say sleepily. "Hey Katniss is Ashton okay?" Alex's chirpy voice says and I sigh. "He's fine now it's 4 am and I am trying to sleep. I will make sure he calls you tomorrow" I say and play with my pyjama sleeve. Wait! How am I in pyjamas? "Okay. Sorry. I'll go now. Bye" she says and hangs up. I sigh and roll over into Peetas arms and he subconsciously wraps them around me. I smile and close my eyes again before falling asleep.

"Katniss, wake up" Peeta says shaking me. I wrap my arms around his torso and hug him. "Can't. Too. Tired" I say and he laughs. "C'mon get up!" He says. "You promised Ashton you'd take him out" he says. "Yeah and you're coming too" I say and he nods. "Okay" he says and escapes my death grip on him. "How do you know about that anyway?" I ask and he looks around the room. "Uhh" he says. "Was someone eavesdropping?" I ask and he smirks. "Peeta!" I say and run after him. I chase him around our room and eventually have him pinned up against the wall as we both laugh. "C'mon, get ready" I say pecking his lips and walking to the bathroom. I jump in the shower and wash my hair and condition it before washing my body and stepping out. I grab a towel and put it in my hair to dry. I head to the wardrobe and pick out a pair of denim jeans, a crop top with Micky and Minnie's hand making a love heart , grey uggs , a grey bracelet , grey earrings and a grey ring. When I'm finished I apply some makeup and spray perfume before curling my hair. I walk downstairs and Ashton is on the couch watching TV with gale and Peeta is drinking a bottle of water. "You ready?" I ask them both and they nod and stand up. We all walk out to my car. "Oh ash you've to phone Alex" I say and he nods while pulling out his phone and phoning her. After talking for a few minutes he hands the phone to me. "Hello?" I say. "Hey can I come to the mall?" She asks and I smile. "Okay if you promise never to wake me up at 4 am again" I say and she laughs. "Be there in five" I say and hang up before handing it back to Ashton. I drive towards Alex's house and she comes running towards the car after giving Effie a hug and jumps in next to Ashton before suffocating him in a hug. "Please don't kill Ashton" I say and she laughs. "I'm so glad to see you" she says smiling. "Awe well that's sweet. I'm so glad to see you too. But Ashton isn't supposed to know about our secret relationship" I say laughing. She rolls her eyes and hugs him again. "So why are we going to the mall.?" She asks. "We are going to get stuff for Ashton's room." I say excitedly and he smiles. "Okay" she says and leans on his shoulder. I smile slight and drive towards the mall , which is about 10 minutes away. "You guys excited to go back to school?" I ask and they both groan. I smile. "Those are the best days of your life." I say and she smiles. "Yeah well not for people who live forever." She says and I smirk. I pull up to the mall and we all walk inside and go to my favourite shop for furniture. It's called Oakwood. It's really cool. We walk into the shop and they hand us the scanners. "Okay so you two go find a bed and bed sheets and a duvet and comforter and pillows and whatever else you need for a bed. Me and Peeta will go find other things and we'll meet here in half an hour to pick paint and stuff" I say and they both nod. "Okay go!" I say and drag Peeta along behind me. We go through isles just looking for random things until something catches my eye. "What about that?" I ask pointing to a bedside table and Peeta nods. I scan it and we continue our search. We come across a few other things like a TV unit and shelves. "It's time to meet them" Peeta says checking his phone. "Let's go" I say. We both walk down the isles until we get back to the entrance where Alex and Ashton are waiting. "Let's pay and we'll go get more stuff." I say and they nod. I go up to pay. "Sorry your card isn't working" she says and I burst out laughing. "Sorry that's my library card" I say and swap. She laughs slightly and scans that. "There you go" she says handing it back. "It should arrive either today or tomorrow" she says and I smile. "Thanks" I say and walk away slightly embarrassed. "What did you do?" Alex asks. "I tried to pay with a library card" I say nonchalantly and she bursts out laughing. I even get a laugh out of Ashton. I smile and we all walk out the store. "Let's go and get paint" I say and we walk to the shop that sells it. "Okay what colour would you like?" I ask. "Uhh I don't know" he says. "Where's your favourite place to be?" Peeta asks. "Ugh I don't know" he says. I sigh. "Well we could get spray paints and me and Ashton could do it" Peeta says and Ashton nods. "Great. Let's go get some" I say and go to a different isle where Peeta picks up lots of different paints. They also get masks for their mouths and nose. I pick up some mats so no paint goes on the floor. We go to the checkout and Peeta picks up rubber gloves on the way and we pay for everything. "You guys go order lunch and I'll be back in a minute" I say. "Just get me a chicken nugget happy meal" I say and Peeta laughs slightly and nods while walking away. I go down the escalator and go downstairs. I go to an electronics shop and get a TV and an x-box console. I also pick up a docking station and some DVDs. I walk across to Apple and get him a MacBook Pro and I got it in blue. I got his name carved on it and I got him a new Iphone because he has an old one. I get him a blue 5c. Then I get him an iPod and iTunes Vouchers. When I have it all I ask them to gift wrap it and run out to the car and put it in the trunk. I run to the food court and sit down. "Where did you go?" Alex asks. "The bathroom" I say and she nods. "There was one right there" she says and I sigh. "Oh well" I say and much on my chips.
