Cloveshadow had committed a sin in proclaiming her love for him.
But even so, it wasn't fair for StarClan to take everything away from her.
It started with her mother shortly after her naming ceremony.
Moons later, her father slipped away from her.
And then, it was her sister that had died brutally due to the claws of one of their own.
Why couldn't they understand?
Why did they have to side with the cat who took her sister away from her?
Even Aspenwing...had doubted her at first. But it didn't matter...he had risen to her defense when the trials began and received nothing but cruelty for it.
She dedicated all of her kills to her mother, father, and her sister...as well as her mate and their only kit.
Even if Aspenwing and Minnowkit hated her...it was all for them.
StarClan had long since turned their back on her...but at least they granted her one last gift. Although she knew it was only because of Aspenwing that they still paid attention to her now. Still, she hoped they didn't punish her too much for her future sins.
After all, some of them were guilty of worse crimes.

Although Cloveshadow had admitted her name had fit her well, she had also felt uncomfortable having it. As if she couldn't be anything more than just another cat's shadow.
In the last moments of her life, she said she lived under his shadow.
And as Aspenstar finished the renaming ceremony, he said, "I name her Clovewish because of her wish to be remembered. For her desire to be different. For those beautiful blue eyes that look full of longing, desire, hope, and...life. By the power of StarClan, I grant her this new name and I hope her wishes will soon be granted."
And when I join StarClan, your last wish will be given too. I hope you're watching, my love.
He swore that there was a single star, brighter than the rest. And it was directly above him, or so it seemed. Good night, Clovewish.
