Sage's POV

Today the girls have training and I have a big test coming up so I'm studying. I really hate college. I'm only going to use like 5% of the stuff I'm being taught. After practice Dawn tells Alex she has to run for missing dinner. Thinking she already has enough on her plate and she could use a rest I speak up before she starts running.

"Hey Dawn?"

"Yes?"

"Alex missed dinner last night because of me. I was having a bad day and she stayed with me to talk. Please don't make her run for that. In fact I will do the running since I made her miss dinner."

Dawn thinks for a minute then speaks."Okay Sage neither of you have to run. Just let us know if something like this happens again."

"Okay. Sorry Dawn."

Dawn chuckles." It's alright Sage." Dawn leaves and Alex comes over and hugs me.

"Thank you Sage."

"Of course Alex. I wasn't going to let you run since we both missed." I say as we walk toward the bus and I notice Christen looking uncharacteristically nervous. After telling Alex bye I walk toward Christen and link arms with her.

"Hey Christen what's up?" I ask the forward.

"Nothing much Sage. Whats going on with you?"

"Oh just worrying about my favorite brunette haired forward." I say trying to get her to smile.

"Why are you worried about me?"

"Well you look nervous. Whats on your mind?"

She lets out a shaky breath. "I really want to tell your Mom how I feel about her, but every time I try to do it I get nervous and cant speak."

I stop us and hug her. "Hey where's that confident forward that I know and love?"

"That confident forward shuts down every time I look at your Mom."

"Well hey we have dinner free tonight. Im going out with Ash, Ali, Tobin, and Alex so go with my Mom and tell her how you feel." I grab her hand making her look at me. " Everything will work out Chrissy. I promise."

After our little talk we get on the bus and head for the hotel. Once we get there everyone goes to their room to freshen up for their dinner plans. I'm going with Ash, Ali, Tobin, and Alex somewhere that the know and I am told to dress casual so I just where a hoodie, joggers, and some nike trainers.

Once at the restaurant we get settled in and I'm sat across from Ali and Ash and in-between Tobin and Alex for some reason causing me to send an I'm sorry smile to Alex to which she whispers it's fine to me. During dinner we talk about a lot of things and since Krashlyn is here I ask them something after our food has arrived.

"Hey can I ask you two something?

"Of course Sage" Ash says.

"Were either of you nervous to take your relationship to the next level after being best friends?"

"A little at first" She says, "but I knew that I couldn't live with myself if I didn't tell Ali how I feel. She was already a huge part of my life before we started dating but she has become an even bigger part of my life since we started dating. She's been my rock during trying times and so many of my favorite memories are little things we have done and they mean the most because not only did I have my best friend, but because I have the love of my life with me. Honestly I couldn't see me being here without her by my side.

"Damn Ash" I say chuckling while wiping tears from my eyes. Then I start thinking about my relationship with Mal and how it would change if I asked her to be my girlfriend. I guess my facial expression must of changed because Ali starts talking now.
