Sage's POV

Sky Blue haven't been playing to well so far this season so Moms been a little unhappy, but today she will became very happy. Chrissy comes to visit today. Mom and I are waiting in the airport for her. I see her first so I sprint to her and jump into her arms.

"Hi Sage." She says.

"It's so good to have you back Chrissy." I say and continue to hug her very tight until Mom clears her throat.

"Sage...Can I hug my girlfriend now?" Mom asks. I nod and move out of the way to let them hug and kiss. I'm not really weirded out by seeing them kiss anymore because Mom is very happy when Chrissy is around.

After they get done hugging Mom goes and picks up Christens bags. I, on the other hand, hug her again.

"I see I was missed" She says while chuckling."

"You have no idea." I say and get a little teary eyed. I guess Christen felt her shirt get wet because she moved to where she could see me and cupped my chin so I would look at her.

"Sage I promise I will never leave you two for that long again. I have a team here now so you can always come and visit me anytime you want. I missed both of you so much." She says and kisses my head. I nod and we walk out of the airport and head to the car so we can go home and rest for a little bit since we have a very important evening tonight.

After we were all rested and refreshed we got ready and drove over to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Mom was properly introducing Christen to her family. It was just going to be Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Stephen, Aunt Ashley, Mom, Chrissy, and me at this dinner.

Once we got to the house we knocked on the door and it was opened five seconds later by Aunt Ashley. She hugged the three of us then let us in. I got maybe three feet into the house before I was wrapped up in a hug by grandma. After we were able to get more then three feet into the house Mom spoke up.

"Well everyone this is my girlfriend Christen...Christen this is my mom Pam, my dad Stephen, my brother Stephen, and my sister Ashley."

"Hi it's nice to meet everyone." Christian says.

After the introductions we move into the den and sit around and talk for twenty minutes until Mom and Chrissy go and get the pizza that grandma ordered before we got to the house.

"I like her." Aunt Ashley says after the leave.

"Me too." Grandpa says.

"Do you like her Sage?" Grandma asks.

"Yeah. Ever since Mom and Christen started dating she's treated me like I'm her daughter as well. She's perfect for Mom."

"You think she'll hurt Carli?"

"Not intentionally. I know she'll never cheat. She actually came and stayed with Mom and I after she heard about Mom getting cheated on. She loves Mom way too much to ever hurt her."

Five minutes later Mom and Chrissy get back with the pizza and we eat and talk for the rest of the night. Mom's family seemed to really like Christen which is great. We left the house at around 9 and made the fifteen minute journey back to our house. Once we got back I took first shower then Christen took her shower and Mom went last.

While Christen and I were waiting for Mom to get out of the shower so we could go to bed I saw Christen looking at a framed photo of Mom, Chrissy, and I.

"You know I stared at that picture every night when you were gone." I say then scoot closer to Christen.

"It's one of my favorite photos." Christen says then brings me into her side.

"I wish Moms team could've traded for you."

"Me too."

Mom comes out of the shower so I move to my side of the bed so Mom can sleep in-between us like usual.

Yesterday Mom, Chrissy, and I flew into Utah for the first game against China. For the first time ever I'm rooming with Mal and Mom is rooming with Chrissy which is great. Mal decided to take me on a date and everything was going great until the end of the date which made the drive back to the hotel very awkward.

"That waitress was eye fucking you." I say to Mal as we enter the team meeting room to check in for the night.

"And how is that my fault?"

"You could've told her to stop."

"Woah. Why is my OTP fighting?" Kling says.

"Not now Meghan." I say and she shuts up knowing I used her first name so I'm not in the mood. Mal checks us in then leads me to the elevator and up to our room. Once inside the room we sit on opposite sides of the room.

"Sage why are you so mad? I didn't do anything." Mal says from the bed we haven't used.

"It's stupid." I say then lay down and roll over so my back is facing Mal. I hear Mal sigh then move to the bed I'm on, lay down behind me, put her arm around my waist, and kiss the back of my neck.

"No Sage it's not. If it's bothering you we need to talk about it."

"Why are you with me?"

"Sage look at me please." Mal says so I turn over in her arms. "Is that what this is about?" I nod. " Sage I'm with you because I love you. You are a gorgeous girl who makes me so so happy." Mal gets on her phone and looks up something. "Sage look at this." She hands me the phone and I see a folder with pictures of us. "When we aren't together and I'm having a bad day I look at these photos and just seeing your beautiful smile instantly makes me happy and I get butterflies in my stomach. And don't even get me started on what you do to me physically. I mean every time I see you I think how the hell did I end up with a beautiful girl like you. Everytime you sing to me it takes everything in me not to rip your clothes off and make love to you.

"I mean I wouldn't stop you." I say and we both giggle then Mal quickly, but passionately kisses me.

"Sage you see me as a person. Everyone else looks at me as Mallory Pugh the young phenom on the national team. You see me as just Mal, a normal girl who struggles with stuff as well, which I fucking love. You help me so much with my struggles Sage. I know that if I could never play soccer again I would be just as happy as I am with soccer because I have an amazing girlfriend who treats me like a princess and is always there for me to vent when I have a bad day or cuddle me when I need it or give me a shoulder to cry on. Since I've been with you I have been so much happier. Nobody understands me like you Sage. I can't and don't want to imagine my life without you in it. And I didn't notice the waitress looking at me. You know why?"

"Why?"

"Because I was looking at my beautiful, amazing, talented, sexy as fuck girlfriend who I love more than anything in the world. That waitress isn't who I want a future with. You are the person I want a future with. Okay?" I nod. " I mean it wasn't hard to not look at her when you are looking like a snack." We both giggle at that.

"I love you Sage."

"I love you too Mal." I say then kiss her and put my head on her chest and we fall asleep.

The next morning I get waken up by Mal groaning in pain.

"Fucking hell." I hear Mal say.

"You okay? I say while wiping the sleep out of my eyes.

"My legs cramping."

"Do you need me to do anything?"

"Can you come stretch me out?" I look at her with raised eyebrows. "Not like that you horn dog." I laugh then help her stretch her leg out.

After her cramp goes away we walk down to get breakfast.
