Sage's POV

Mom and I have just landed in San Diego for the January camp and the game against Denmark. When we got our bags we needed to wait for Tobin to get here from her flight from Newark and we would catch an Uber to the hotel. At least that was the plan, but what Mom and I didn't know was that Tobin was going to be joined by someone.

"Hey Tobs." I say as I hug her.

"Hey Sage." She says returning they hug. She hugs Mom and we go to walk out, but Tobin stops us. "Wait...um we need to wait for a second."

"Okay?" Mom says and we both look at each other in a very confused manner. A minute later Alex comes out of the bathroom and joins us.

"Hey Alex." I say and hug her.

"Hey Sage." She hugs me and I then realize what may have happened. She hugs Mom and we walk to the car. I hang back with Alex to talk to her. "How was your holiday Alex?"

"It was good Sage. How was yours?"

"It was good. Anything important happen?" I say then motion to Tobin.

Alex blushes. " Nooo..." She says and doesn't look me in the eye.

"Are you sure?" I ask with a smirk.

"Okay yes Sage something did happen. We started dating."

"That's great Alex." I side hug her right before we get to the Uber. Mom sits in the passenger seat and I sit next to Alex who is in the middle holding Tobin's hand. Soon we show up to the Hotel and find out Mom and I are rooming together again.

While Mom is unpacking there is a knock on the door so I get up and open it to find Christen standing there. "Hi Chrissy" I say and hug her very tightly.

"Hey Sage." She hands me her key card. "Go surprise Mal. Two doors down."

I smile and nod then head down the hall and open the door to find my girlfriend frantically looking for something in her bag. "Need any help babe?" I say and her head shoots up.

"SAGE!!!" She yells and runs over to me and kisses me passionately. I kiss back and then we walk back and she falls backwards onto the bed and since her arms are around my neck I fall onto her causing her to groan in pain.

"Sorry" I say while hovering above her. She was about to say something, but I cut her off by kissing her. We stayed like that for a while till we needed air so I laid my head on her chest and started talking. "Sorry. I just really missed you. And I really wanted to kiss you"

"I missed you to Sage. A LOT."

I chuckle then sigh. "Long distance sucks."

"Yes it does."

"So what where you looking for?"

"My shin pads."

"You mean the ones on the desk?" I say pointing to them on the desk in the room.

"Maybe..." She says and starts to run her hands through my hair. "Hey Sage?"

"Yes?"

"My family is here for the game and they want to meet you...would you want to meet them?"

"Of course...Who's gonna be there and when are we meeting them?"

"It'll be my parents and sister. And we will go tomorrow for dinner since we get dinner free."

"Sounds good."

"Wanna get off?"

"Nope" I say then put my head in the crook of her neck.
