Sage's POV

"Alright girls let's see if we can hear that heartbeat." Our doctor, Sarah, says and gets the machines ready.

During our honeymoon in Portugal Mal and I talked about wanting kids sooner rather than later. When we came back we looked at our options and decided on some fertilization technique that would allow the baby to look like both Mal and I, which was the main reason we choose that option.

"Alright. You ladies ready?" The doctor asks and we both nod then the room gets silent as the doctor does her thing on my belly. What feels like an entirety later we hear the beating of a heart.

"oh my god." I whisper and look at Mal and see she is crying just like me.

"That's our baby." Mal says and squeezes my hand.

"Not just one baby." Sarah says and both Mal and I look at her then at the screen.

"You mean..." I say, but can't form the rest of the sentence.

"Congratulations ladies you are having twins." Sarah says and points out our two babies.

"Oh my god." Mal says.

"Congrats again. I'll go get you two some pictures printed off then I'll be back."

The doctor leaves and Mal and I just look at each other until she comes back with our ultrasound pictures. After we schedule the next appointment Mal and I head to get lunch then head to the house to rest before dinner tonight with my Mom's.

Mom and Christen are here looking to see if they want to buy a house or just have Christen fly in for the games. Tonight we are having pizza and chatting around the dining room table. When everyone finishes Mal takes the plates to the dishwasher and comes back with the ultrasound pictures.

"Mom...Chrissy" I say.

"Yes?" Mom says.

"You know you two's room in our house?"

"Yeah?"

"Well I think you two are going to be staying in it a lot more." I say then Mal hands them the ultrasound pictures.

"Are you serious?" Mom says as tears fall down her face.

"How far along are you?" Christen asks looking equally as emotional as Mom is.

"10 weeks." I say.

"Theres also another surprise." Mal says and they look at her like she has two heads. "Look closer." She says.

Christen and Mom look at the picture for a while then give up. "I don't see anything" Mom says.

Mal leans over and points at the picture. "Here's baby number one." She says pointing to one of the twins then the other. "And here's baby number two."

"Your having twins?" Mom breathes out.

"I am." I say with a smile.

Mal and I then go on to explain everything and both of my Mom's are very happy.

"I'm gonna be a grandmother." Christen says while looking over the ultrasound.

"We wanted to have kids sooner rather than later...sorry" I say.

"Oh I'm not saying it like it's a bad thing Sage. I'm very happy. It's just..."

"A very good surprise." Mom finishes Christens sentence.

"You ready Baby Momma?" Mal asks making me laugh.

"Yeah...Now help your pregnant wife up." I say and Mal helps me up and we walk out to our backyard.

The girls are throwing Mal and I a gender reveal party even though we already know the genders of both babies. I think they just wanted an excuse to eat and socialize without having to train.

"There's my favorite pregnant woman." Kelley says making me laugh.

"There's my favorite squirrel." I say causing her to glare at me while everyone else laughs.

"Okay I need to address the elephant in the room...you do know that we know the gender of our twins right?" Mal asks.

"We know...we just wanted cake and what better occasion to have cake then for a gender reveal party." Kling says.

Knew it.

"Yeah so what gender are the twins?" Ali asks.

"We are having two baby girls." I say and some of the girls squeals.

"Do you have names picked out?" Alex asks.

"Yeah." I say and smile at Mal who smiles back.

"So what are our nieces going to be named?" Kelley asks causing everyone to get a little laugh.

"One of our daughter's name will be Paris Carli Lloyd-Pugh." I say and I see Mom smiling and wiping a few stray tears.

"Our other daughter will be named Luna Christen Lloyd-Pugh." Mal says and I see Christen has the same reaction as Mom.

"Why those names?" Tobin asks.

"Well Paris is where we got engaged and we chose Luna because when we lived apart we would have Facetime dates. At the end of those dates we would both go to a window and look up at the moon. We knew that no matter where we are in the world we will always be looking at the same moon." Mal says.

"Well that's cute as fuck." Kling says.

"Why the middle names?" Becky asks.

"We wanted their names to have meaning so we choose to have Christen as a middle name because Sage and I wouldn't have started dating if Christen didn't help us realize our feelings for one another and she has helped us with a lot of stuff that has gone on in our lives." Mal say.

"And why Carli?"

"Mom saved my life." I say.
