Sage's POV

"Who is it?"

"It's Sage." I say then I'm let into Christen's room.

It's her and Mom's wedding day.

"Hey Sage." Christen says.

"Hey Chrissy...woah."

"What?"

"You look beautiful." I say and Christen blushes.

"Thank you Sage...So what's up?"

"I was wondering if I can talk to you...alone."

"Of course." Christen says and her family leaves the room. "What's going on?"

"I want to give you something." I say then hand Christen a folder.

Christen opens the folder and reads over the sheets of paper.

"Are you serious?" She asks.

"Since you're about to become Christen Lloyd I want you to legally become my mother too."

"Wh-what do I have to do?"

"All you have to do is fill this form out and give me a hug then we will go before a judge when you and Mom get back from your honeymoon and then you will legally be my Mama." I say.

Christen sets the papers down then pulls me into a bone crushing hug. "Sage this is the best gift I've ever gotten.

"I love you Mama." I say and Christen tightens her grip on me.

"I love you too." Mama says.

"Well I'll let you get ready for your big day."

I take the papers for safe keeping then leave the room and head over to Mom's room and knock on the door.

"Who is it?" Mom says through the door.

"Your daughter." I say then I'm let in as Mom's bridesmaids leave.

Mom bridesmaids are her friends Hope and Christie. Chrissy's bridesmaids are her sisters.

"Hey baby." Mom says.

"Hi Mom." I say and kiss Mom's cheek then sit down. "Your soon to be wife looks insanely beautiful."

"Even more then usual?"

"Way more than usual." Mom blushes and smiles.

"What's got you smiling so big?" Mom asks while doing her makeup in the mirror.

"I have a Mama." I say and my smile gets even bigger.

"She said yes?" Mom says after she turns around to look at me.

"She did."

"That's great."

"Yeah. Well I'll see you out there...You look beautiful Mom." I say and Mom smiles then hugs me.

I leave Mom to do her thing and go sit with Mal and the twins. What seems like five minutes later Mom is being walked down the aisle by her friend Abby Wambach. A couple minutes later we all stand and Chrissy walks down the aisle and I look at Mom and see her tearing up.

What feels like a minute later Mom is kissing Chrissy and then they walk down the aisle. Mal and I get out of our seats and take the twins to the reception area and feed them a bottle as some of the girls join us at a table.

"Please welcome for the first time ever Mrs. and Mrs. Carli Lloyd." The MC says and my two mom's walk to the dance floor. As they are walking down to the dance floor I go over and grab a microphone. "Now we have a bit of a surprise for the newlyweds for their first dance."

Mom and Chrissy look at the MC weirdly and she points to me. I smile at them and wave. "You two ready?" I ask and they nod so I motion for the music to start then start singing as my Mom's start their first dance.

You lift my heart up when the rest of me is down
You, you enchant me even when you're not around
If there are boundaries, I will try to knock them down
I'm latching on, babe, now I know what I have found

I feel we're close enough
Could I lock in your love?
I feel we're close enough
Could I lock in your love?

Now I've got you in my space
I won't let go of you
Got you shackled in my embrace
I'm latching on to you

I'm so en-captured, got me wrapped up in your touch
Feel so enamored, hold me tight within your clutch
How do you do it? You got me losing every breath
What did you give me to make my heart beat out my chest?

I feel we're close enough
Could I lock in your love?
I feel we're close enough
Could I lock in your love?

Now I've got you in my space
I won't let go of you
Got you shackled in my embrace
I'm latching on to you

Now I've got you in my space
I won't let go of you
Got you shackled in my embrace
I'm latching on to you

I'm latching on to you

After my Mom's finish dancing they come over and hug me and we have a little family moment. Mom and I then leave the dance floor so Chrissy can have her father daughter dance. Mom and I still aren't talking with the rest of her family. Mom isn't doing a dance so she went to her seat and I went back to the table.

"I've never heard that song before." Kelley says when I sit down.

"I know. I wrote it for this purpose." I say.

After Chrissy's father daughter dance we get to eat and then we dance and talk for the next two hours until Mom and Chrissy leave.

"You two have fun." I say and hug them.

"We will." Chrissy says.

"We'll see you when we get back." Mom says. I nod then hug them again before they leave.

"Hi how can I help you?"

"Hi we have an appointment with a judge for an adult adoption." I say with Chrissy and Mom standing on either side of me.

"Name please?" The clerk asks.

"Sage Avalon Lloyd-Pugh."

"Ah yes. Your case is beginning soon. Please have a seat."

Mom, Chrissy and I go sit in the court room and two cases later our case number is called so the three of approach the bench.

"Hi what is your name?" The judge asks.

"Sage Avalon Lloyd-Pugh." I say.

"And who have you brought with you?"

"My Mom and my, hopefully, soon to be mother Your Honor." I say.

"Who is the person petitioning to be your other parent?"

"I am Your Honor." Chrissy says.

"And how do you know Ms. Lloyd-Pugh."

"Sage was adopted in September 2017 by my wife Carli Lloyd. My wife and I started dating in November 2017. Ever since she was adopted I have thought of her as my own child and treated her as such."

"Ms. Lloyd-Pugh?"

"Yes Your Honor." I say.

"What is your relationship like with this woman?"

"We have an amazing relationship. Ever since I met her she has been like my mother and I've always thought of her as my mother."

"And Mrs. Lloyd are you okay with this?" The Judge asks Mom.

"More than okay with it Your Honor." Mom says.

"Great." The Judge says then smiles at us. "Mrs. Lloyd-Pugh?"

"Yes your honor?" I say.

"Say hello to your new mother."

The next few moments are a blur and when I'm finally cognisant of where I am we are in Mom's car driving back to my house to celebrate.
