I walked down the hallway, Gwendoline following quickly behind me. I glanced back at her and smiled. I was incredibly glad that I was going to be to be friends with the female.
Bodie was returning back to Takiani. He was going to stay with Ezra, Jenny and I. Gwendoline was obviously going with Bodie, and she'd be moving in also. I was excited to get to know the both of them.
I supposed that we needed to get back to Takiani first.
I didn't care though. I was happy for them both. I was especially happy for Bodie. I was excited that he was getting to return to Takiani. I didn't know what he was going to tell people when they asked about where he'd been. Henry had told everyone that he'd died. Everyone would be more than confused.
He deserved to be happy, and Gwendoline made him happy.
"You ready? We're already late," Bodie asked us both as we walked into the kitchen. I nodded and looked to Gwendoline who nodded too. He smiled as we turned and headed towards the door.
We'd been invited to lunch at Nicolas' house. Apparently Liam's family had a lot of family lunches and dinners. I enjoyed seeing the family so often. It was different from what I was accustomed to.
We left the house and treaded quickly down the trail that lead to Nicolas' house. It was a five minute walk if we walked quickly.
"Did Rae and Jax make it back to Terialta safely?" Bodie asked me as we walked. I looked to him, noticing his hand that was intertwined with Gwendoline's. I envied them both.
"Yep. They said the trip was boring," I replied as I playfully rolled my eyes.
Rae and Jax had gone back to Terialta on demand. Beckett requested that they returned as he needed them for business, or something like that. I didn't mind that they left, but they weren't so happy. Rae didn't want to leave me because he thought someone would try to kill me, and Jax didn't want to leave because he thought I'd try to kill someone.
But they left eventually and made it home safe within a few hours.
I didn't mind that they weren't around. I had to return to Takiani some time. I just needed to wait a little longer. I didn't know what to do with the new information that I had. I dreaded having to tell Liam.
But it would have to wait. It wasn't the right time.
I knocked on the door to Nicolas' house and waited for an answer. Trixie was the one who opened the door. I grinned at the little girl.
"Hey kiddo!" I greeted her. She pulled the door open all the way and hugged me tightly, her arms wrapped around my legs. She was still so tiny.
I could already smell the strength on her and knew that she'd be a strong beast. The same with her cousins. They were all growing so fast.
"Hi Ali. Hi Bodie, hi Gwenny," Trixie greeted as she pulled away from me. I flashed her a wide grin and she let us inside. We shut the door behind us and then continued down the hallway.
I heard the voices of everyone in the house and I felt my headache ease a little. I had had a nonstop headache. I didn't know what it was from. Bodie kept telling me it was because of my separation with Liam, but I didn't want to believe it.
