Meanwhile, Yami and Bakura just faced each other, ready to duel.
"Bakura, what have you done? Why have you taken us to the Shadow Realm?" Yami asked pleadingly, which made Bakura chuckle.
"Bakura? Bakura's no longer here."
"If you're not Bakura, then who are you?" Yani demanded.
"I am a thief and a stealer of souls, and I have done terrible things in my quest to possess the Millennium Items. You do remember the legends, don't you?"
Yami's eyes widened at Bakura's answer while he glanced at his Millennium ring!
"'Whosoever wields all seven Millennium Items will possess power unimaginable.' And before I'm done with you, your Millennium Puzzle will be mine."
"That's not going to happen, whoever you are!" Yami snapped back.
"Then let the shadow games begin! The first move is yours." Bakura sneered, before Yami took out one of the cards and summoned it.
"And my first card: The Cyber Commander. Tristan's favorite."
As soon as the Cyber Commander was summoned, it turned out that Tristan was dressed as the Cyber Commander, which surprised Yami!
"Tristan?!" He exclaimed, in disbelief.
"Huh? What a weird dream!" Tristan exclaimed, as he looked at himself weirdly.
Then he looked around and became frantic, "Huh? Where am I? What's going on here?"
It was then that Tristan turned his whole body around and screamed when he saw how bigger Yami was than himself!
"Bakura must have used his Millennium Ring to capture Tristan's soul within his favorite card." Yami claimed to himself.
Bakura snickered, "Who's your little friend, Yugi? He looks pretty tough, but can he deal with this?"
He took out his card, then he placed it down in front of himself and summoned his first monster, "The White Magical Hat. Attack!"
Then the White Magical Hat appeared on the field.
"Oh, man! I must still be dreaming!" Tristan exclaimed, getting really freaked out.
Then the White Magical Hat charged at Tristan, and he was really freaked as he said, "Yeah, that's it. This is all just a really bad--"
Before Tristan could finish his sentence, the White Magical Hat punched him on the gut, and it caused him to disappear!
"No, Tristan!" Yugi cried.
Bakura snickered in satisfaction, "Aw, looks like that card's been defeated, and your poor friend's soul was trapped within it."
"Where is he? What have you done with Tristan?!" Yami demanded.
"Your friend is gone, on his way to the discard pile, or the graveyard as we call it in Duel Monsters." Bakura answered, darkly.
Yami trembled, "It can't be. Tristan can't be... gone!"
Then Yami looked up at Bakura and glared at him.
Bakura snickered at Yami's reaction, "When you duel at the Shadow Realm, the stakes are always higher, Yugi!"
Then he pointed his finger at Yami and continued, "You made a sloppy move, and now your friend: He paid for it with his very soul. Now, which of your friends will you sacrifice next?"
Yami looked at the cards he was holding in his hand and thought to himself nervously, 'I'd avoid using the cards that have my friend's souls trapped in them if I could, but to save my friends, I have to win. And I only have one card that can beat his White Magical Hat!'
Then he took out the next card and announced, "Joey's favorite card: The Flame Swordsman!"

After he placed the card down in front of himself, Joey, who was dressed as the Flame Swordsman, appeared on the field, and he looked rather confused...
"Hey? What gives?" He asked confusedly, before he turned around to face Yami, and he screamed when he discovered that Yami was WAY bigger than him!
"What the-- You're a giant!" He exclaimed, completely freaked out, before he examined himself.
"Oh, man. I finally cracked."
"Joey, listen to me. Your soul has been sealed inside your favorite card. You've become the Flame Swordsman." Yami explained, firmly.
"I'M THE WHO?!" Joey exclaimed, completely startled.
"If I don't win this duel, we can't restore you to normal. But if you're defeated in this battle, you'll be carried off to the card graveyard just like Tristan was."
"Graveyard?!" Joey exclaimed, getting scared.
"In order for me to win this duel, restore you all back to your bodies and get us out of the shadow realm, I'm going to need your help." Yami said, finally.
Joey's face suddenly became a grin and he said with determination, "You want my help? You got my help!"
"Are you sure you're okay?" Yami raised his eyebrow.
"Okay? I figure I've lost my mind, but I'm gonna go with it." Joey answered, before he turned around to face his opponent.
"Now, who wants a beating, eh?" Joey announced, before his face suddenly got freaked out when he noticed that Bakura was way bigger as well!
"Giant Bakura?! Now I know I'm nuts! I'm like 6 inches tall, wearin' a dress, about to fight my giant friend?"
"That's not really Bakura. An evil spirit from his Millennium Ring has taken him over." Yami explained, which made Bakura grin.
"Well, I have no idea what you're talkin' about, so here goes nothin'" Joey shrugged, before he went to charge at the White Magical Hat as he let out a battle cry.
It was then that Joey slashed the White Magical Hat, and he was gone for good!
"Say goodbye to The Cat in the Hat!" He announced, proudly.
Bakura trembled in anger when he discovered that his life points went down to 1200.
"Whoa, man." Joey said, impressed with what he just did. Then he turned his whole body to face Yami with a proud look on his face.
"I did it, Yugi!" He announced proudly, which Yami nodded at.
"Now what?" Joey asked.
"Now it's his turn." Yamibanswered boldly, as he glanced at Bakura, who snarled in anger.
"Your little swordsman got lucky last time, Yugi..." Bakura began, before he took out his next card and presented it.
"But not this time!" He finished, before he placed his card facedown in front of himself.
Yami's eyes widened when he saw what Bakura just did!
"Huh? Why'd he play that facedown?" He asked Joey.
"Cause he's afraid of what Joey the Swordsman'll do to it." Joey answered, with a snarky tone.
"Hang on, Joey! It could be a trap!" Yami warned.
"I'm going in." Joey announced, before he charged at Bakura's card.
"WAIT!" Yami exclaimed, as his eyes widened.
As Joey kept charging his way towards the card, the card suddenly lifted itself up and faced Joey's direction, then the monster with one eye came out from the card and was about to charge at Joey, but Joey slashed it in half!
"Ta-da!" Joey cheered, satisfyingly.
"What a dolt." Bakura scoffed.
"It was a Morphing Jar!" Yami exclaimed, which made Joey confused, so he faced Yami.
"Huh? A Morphing Jar? Did I screw up?" He asked, hoping to God he didn't screw up.
"When a Morphing Jar is attacked, all cards in both players' hands go to the graveyard!" Yami answered, before he looked at his cards for a moment.
"We're just really lucky that I didn't have Tea or Jill's soul cards in my hand right now."
