Meanwhile, the duel between Yami and Duke continued...
'Oh no! With my ninja gone, Duke has me under defense again! I've gotta find a way to protect my heart points!' Yami thought, a bit tensely, before he threw his dice.
"Go, dice roll!" He yelled, and when the dice landed, Yami saw that he had a movement crest with a double movement bonus.
'That'll work!' He thought, before he began talking out loud.
"Looks like I've rolled a movement crest with a double movement bonus, Duke. I'll use it to position my Knight of Twin Swords between your monsters and my heart points."
"Nice try, Yugi, but none of your monsters can withstand the force of Orgoth the Relentless." Duke scoffed, before he threw the dice.
"And he's coming for you!" Duke added, before he saw that there was two movement crests, and so he smirked.
"Orgoth, advance four spaces!" Duke commanded, before Orgoth began moving.
'He's heading right for the Warp Vortex! If Orgoth warps, Duke will throw my defenses without a fight!' Yami thought, tensely.
"Scared, yet? Remember how you used the Warp Vortex to sneak behind my lines? Well, two can play at that game." Duke taunted, which made Joey tense.
"Oh no!" Joey exclaimed, while Marcella just trembled angrily.
"Orgoth, jump into the Warp Vortex!" Duke commanded, before Orgoth jumped inside the Warp Vortex.
"You know how it works, Yugi. With Vortex, he instantly warps to your side of the field." Duke explained, before Orgoth suddenly appeared on Yami's side of the field!
"The end is near, Yugi!" Duke announced, tauntingly.
"I think not. Maybe you've forgotten, Duke, but remember, I still have one more heart point than you do." Yami snapped, before he picked up his dice and continued.
"And now, it's my turn! Go, dice roll!"
He threw the dice, and as soon as it landed, there were two movement crests, so he yelled satisfyingly, "There! Using the movement crests, I'll build a wall around my heart points. First I'll move Thunderball into position, then Mighty Mage, and finally Knight of Twin Swords."
"How sad. The so-called 'King of Games' is in a retreat. You coward!" Duke scoffed, before he aggressively threw the dice, and there appeared to be two magic crests.
"Now you'll see how a real master plays. I'll use two movement crests for my crest pool to move Orgoth the Relentless into attack range. With the magic crests I rolled, I'll raise Orgoth's attack power by 10, giving him total of 40. I told you Orgoth was relentless! Now witness his strength up close. Orgoth the Relentless, attack Thunderball and show your power! Diamond blade strike!" Duke taunted, before Orgoth slashed the hell out of Thunderball, and he exploded! Yami snarled in anger.
Duke just smirked in satisfaction and said, "It's tough to watch, eh, Yugi?"
"Devlin's smart! Devlin's cute! Joey's stuck in a doggy suit!" The cheerleaders chanted happily, and Marcella was just infuriated as ever, so she took out her blade and pointed it at them threateningly, making them flinch in fear as they knew one of them might get the scar as the brunette did.
"You know what a cheerleader is? White trash with slutty uniforms and annoying chantings." Marcella glared darkly, before she suddenly, and without warning, spit at them. The three cheerleaders all grimaced in disgust as soon as Marcella's spit landed on them.
"Just two more monsters left! Duke's taking out Yugi's defenses one by one!" Tristan exclaimed, in disbelief.
"I know! But Yugi's been in tough spots before and he's always come through, and remember, he's still got the lead!" Tea replied, as she knew that Yami would never give up.
"Poor, Yugi. Now what? You can't summon any more monsters because there's no room left in your territory. You've played well for a first timer, Yugi. I'll give you that much. But there's no way a hack like you could have beaten the great Pegasus. Now I'm going to expose you as the fraud you really are!" Duke taunted, which made Marcella use her entire arm to flip him off.
"Fuck you!" She muttered, under her breath.
Yami picked up his dice and snapped back at Duke, "Don't write that victory speech just yet, Devlin! This game's not over! Go, dice roll!"
He threw the dice, and there appeared to be two movement crests. Yami was confused for a moment, so he used his help screen and smiled with pride, "I've checked out my help screen, Duke, and found Mighty Mage's special ability that allows it to attack opponents two spaces away! Mighty Mage, lightning staff attack!"
As the Mighty Mage was about to attack, Duke just said, "No worries, I can weaken your magic attack with one defense crest! Orgoth the Relentless, activate defense!"
Just as the Mighty Mage struck Orgoth... Nothing happened!
"Oh no! Orgoth withstood the force of Mighty Mage's attack!" Yami exclaimed, in disbelief.
"That's right, Yugi. Orgoth only took ten damage points, dropping his hit points to 20." Duke taunted.
"But because Orgoth has an attack power of 40, my Mighty Mage took 20 damage points, but that still leaves 20 hit points left. He's not finished yet, Duke." Yami pointed out, boldly.
"He will be, after my next turn." Duke persisted arrogantly, before he picked up the dice from the Dice Automator and threw them.
"All right! Go, dice roll!" He yelled, before the dice finally landed.
"Advance one space, Orgoth the Relentless!" Duke ordered his monster, before Orgoth began moving.
"Right now, Orgoth has an attack power of 40. But his special ability allows me to use six magic crests to increase his attack power by 30 points, more than enough to obliterate your Mage." Duke explained tauntingly, before Orgoth got even stronger.
"Even you should know it takes more than strength to win, Devlin! Without strategy, powers' just an empty threat!" Yami shot back.
"Is that so? Orgoth, attack Mighty Mage! Super diamond blade strike!" Duke commanded, before Orgoth slashed the hell out of Mighty Mage, and he disappeared for good.
'Oh no! That leaves me with just one monster standing between Duke and my heart points! How do I get out of this?' Yami thought to himself, tensely.
Duke just laughed and said, "Looks like your winner's luck is finally giving out, Yugi."
The dice then appeared on the Dice Automater, and Yami picked them out as he held on to them while balling his hand up into a fist while thinking, 'What if he's right? Dungeon Dice Monsters is a different game! Maybe I'm just not good enough to beat Duke. Poor Joey, I promised to get him out of that suit. Now I'm about to let my best friend down.'
"Give it up, Yugi. Stop wasting my time and surrender." Duke taunted, before Yami glared at him furiously.
"Duke, shut the hell up with that!" Marcella snapped, defensively.
"DUKE!" The cheerleaders all cheered, but Marcella turned to them and snarled.
"Shut up, you bitches!" She snapped, before Joey suddenly stepped in.
"No, Yugi! You can't surrender to that blow heart!"
What he said caught Yami's attention.
"This mutt just won't learn!" The brunette cheerleader growled.
"Bad, bad dog!" The short plump cheerleader agreed.
"That's it! Get the muzzle!" The blonde commanded, but Joey turned around to glare at them furiously while Marcella pulled out her blade and pointed it at them while glaring at them ferociously.
