This is Chase's point of view for the day again of the events of last chapter:) It will answer your questions.
As I woke up, I realized that I was starting my new job today. I was so excited.
I walked into the kitchen and saw Porter making breakfast. Porter was an excellent cook, so I wasn't worried. ''Hey man, what you cooking?''
''Eggs for me, pancakes for you.''
''Ohh, can't wait.''
''So you excited for your new job today?'' Porter asked while placing my pancakes on my plate
''Sure am.'' I said while taking a bite out of the food. A burst of delicious flavor ran through me as I took in the first bite. ''Where did you learn to cook like this?''
''My mom is the best mom around.'' I looked away and started to stab the food in front of me with my fork. ''Oh, I didn't me-''
''It's fine.'' I lied. I took another bite and pretended to take interest in the plate. I looked up at the clock and saw that I needed to go soon ''I got to go get ready, first day of work and all.'' Porter nodded and cleared my plate. This boy is so weird, clearing up my plate? Who he is? my wife. I mentally chuckled. At least I didn't have to do it.
I got changed into black slacks, a white shirt- with sleeves rolled up- and a black tie. I tugged on some black shoes before heading to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After that I walked into the kitchen and grabbed my lunch from the fridge, and my bag from and then headed out after saying bye to Porter.
I drove down the sunny and warm street and soon after following the instructions, the tip of the school came in view.
Once I parked inside, my thoughts ran to Lacey. What would she be doing right now? I would ring her later.
I walked to the main office and saw a guy waiting for me. I could only guess this was Mr Straford - the principle. ''You must be our new music teacher Mr Dylan.'' He was quite young to be a principle, only in his thirties I would of guessed
''Yes, it's a pleasure to meet you. Mr Straford is it?''
''Oh just call me Dan.''
''Okay.'' Dan showed me around the school and left me alone in the music room. I decided to ring Lacey.
It rung a about four times before I heard her beautiful voice. ''Hello?''
''Hey Lacey, it's Chase.'' Just saying her name made me smile.
''Hi Chase.''
''Hey what you doing tonight?'' I thought I would get straight to the point.
''Er nothing really, why?''
''Because I was wondering if maybe we could go out.'' She didn't answer for a while. I hope I didn't freak her out.
''But you're still in Britain aren't you?'' She sounded nervous.
''Nope, left came here last week.'' I paused before asking again. ''So do you?''
''S-Sure.'' My grin grew wider. I couldn't believe I was going to meet her tonight.
''''Can't wait. Meet me at my apartment.'' I told her the address and she agreed. ''I can't wait to meet you.''
''Me neither. But listen, I got to go.''
''Okay, bye, love you.'' She hung up before she said anything else. I decided to ring Porter to make sure the apartment was all clean and tidy. ''Hey man.''
