What had just happened? The girl I love was married and pretended to be her daughter so she could talk to me.
''Hey dude, the food is ready, just need to wait for Lacey.'' Porter told me. Feeling angry at his words, I let my fist meet the wall. ''Woah, man. What's wrong?'' He looked over at my bleeding hand and covered it with tissue.
''Lacey's not coming.'' I said through my teeth.
''Why?''
''You were right. She was married and pretending to be her daughter.'' How could she be so cruel? so unfaithful to her child and husband. She just watches her daughter being bullied, she just sits there, talking and lying to me.
''I'm so sorry man.''
''You shouldn't be. Love isn't real.''
''Are you sure she isn't lying? She could ju-''
''Her husband rang me up and told me.''
''Oh.''

The memory of his words were one month ago and they still haunted me. Even Dan realized something wrong about the way I moved around, dragging my feet across the halls, ignoring the main problems.
I turned the corner and saw Lacey being shoved into the locker by Paul again. She seemed to have a difference in her attitude too. She didn't talk to anyone- not even her friends.
''Aw what's up buttercup?'' I saw something in her eyes as he said the words. Something like a memory.
''I'll do whatever you want. Please just let me go.'' She sounded defeated. Usually she would fight back. She must of found out what her mom did. Yep that's right, she's the same girl of the woman who had lied to me.
''No fighting again today? That's a shame. You're boring now anyway.'' He let go of her throat and walked down the hall with his friends- leaving her alone on the floor.
I walked over to her and held out a hand. ''Thanks.'' She whispered.
''Can we talk in my office please?'' She nodded shakily and followed me to the door down the hall. It was last period, so no one was around. ''I was wondering if maybe I could meet up with your parents?'' I asked once I closed the door.
''Why?'' Fear crossed her face. She was beautiful, but I shouldn't think that. She was my student for goodness sake. Why did she have to look so good? She seemed perfect for me, but I couldn't, shouldn't think about her like this. If only she wasn't my student.
''You are being bullied and your parents need to know.'' And I want to see her mother.
''They already know.''
''So why aren't they doing anything?'' Typical of her mother to do that, not care about other people's feelings other than her own.
''They have.''
''Well I still need to speak with them.''
''I don't want you to.''
''You have no choice.'' She looked up and I saw tears in her brown eyes. Why was she crying?
''Please.'' She begged, tears falling down her cheeks. Indistinctly, I moved forward and wiped them away, but she caught me off guard and set her lips on mine.
