When I woke up, I remembered it was another day of school. I reluctantly dragged my feet across the hardened floor and got ready.
I put on a long sleeved shirt and skinny jeans. Though I know I shouldn't because it just shows off my fat features more. I wrapped my upper body with a flared out shirt and added my leather jacket. I got my ankle boots on and headed down the stairs. Mom was sat on dad's lap while they laughed away. They looked so happy and in love.
''Lacey you're awake, we need to talk to you.'' My dad said, trying to get serious. This was going to be the talk. The talk about what they have noticed.
''Sorry, can't. I'm meeting Lottie.'' I said in a rush. Maybe if I avoid them for a while, then they'll forget. I didn't want to talk about this, especially with my dad. It was embarrassing.
''Fine, but we need to talk when you come home.''
''Whatever.'' I ran out of the house and down the few steps. Lottie was already waiting for me in her red convertible with Kale- our other best friend- in the seat behind her. ''Hey guys.'' I greeted them, running over to the passenger seat and jumping over the door, instead of opening it.
''Hey beautiful.'' Kale greeted like always.
''Hi.'' Lottie was quiet when Kale was around because she secretly liked him. He may be a jock, but he isn't a player, in fact, he was the complete opposite.
''How are you doing this fine morning?'' Kale teased, pretending to be posh.
''Good I guess.'' I tried to subtle, but my best friends saw behind my disguise.
''What happened? Is it Chase again?'' Lottie asked, concern obvious in her tone.
''He didn't hurt you did he?'' Kale was like a brother to me, so of course he was protective of my safety. Just remembering how he had stuck up for me on my first day made a smile appear on my lips.
''It's not him and no he didn't hurt me you weirdo.'' I said punching Kale in the arm.
''Damn girl, you have a good arm.'' He teased, rubbing where I had just previously hit him.
''My parents know.'' I gave them both the look and they both understood. ''And they want to talk to me about it tonight.''
''I'm so sorry.'' Lottie bit her lip, looking straight ahead so she didn't crash. it was her new car after all.
''When was the last time you . . . you know?'' Kale didn't agree with me doing it, but he understood why. He wasn't in any of my lessons so he couldn't protect me as much as he could he told me numerous amount of times before.
''Two days ago.'' I muttered. Kale nodded, looking out into the trees. We were quiet for the rest of the drive.
~~~<3~~~
''See you guys later.'' I said hugging them both.
''See you, ring me if you need me.'' Kale insisted. I nodded and walked inside the crowded building. I made my way to my locker and started to hide my face in it as much as I could.
''Look who it is guys.'' I heard his voice say behind me. I tried to ignore him- hoping he was talking to someone else- but he turned me around and shoved my into the closed locker next to mine. ''What's wrong, little Lacey gonna cry?'' Paul pouted mockingly. I'm not going to cry, I'm not going to cry, I'm not going to cry. I chanted in my head.
''Did you do my assignments then?'' I asked raising a brow.
''If you let go, then I could of given you it.'' I spat.
