Kage's Pov

"Lucy!" Tommy and I called out simultaneously.

Her eyes widened in shock the moment she recognized me. "K-Kage?" Her eyes then looked behind me and immediately her eyes softened as her body relaxed in relief. "Tommy!"

By now Izumi had already released Lucy. Tommy wriggled his way out of Rin's hold was already running towards Lucy as she kneeled and stretched her arms out to welcome him.

After receiving a bone crushing embrace she frantically started searching his whole body and asking questions such as "Are you okay? Are you hurt? Did they try to do anything to you?"

I walked up to her but she immediately stood taking a step back. I frowned.

"What happened to my little brother? Why is he with you?" She asked as her eyes glanced at each one us before they settled me.

"Lucy... a few days ago your grandmother was murdered. However, fortunately the bastard wasn't keen on doing the same to the boy. He witnessed her death and was helpless. We couldn't leave him there. I⎯"

"I found him and decided to carry him back here to help him and to find a family member that could take him in. However, you are the only one he has left but we couldn't reach you." Issac stated as he walked towards his twin. I sent a glare at Isaac for cutting me off.

"By the way, I want to know why was your 'grandmother' a human while it's clear that the both of you are werewolves." Romanov spoke up as he threw an arm over my shoulders. Rin stood on the other side of me.

Lucy growled. "It's none of your business." She snapped.

My eyebrows raised in surprise and Romanov quirked a brow. Even though I had only talked to her once I could tell she was a bit of a shy girl. Well... there was none of that now.

Izumi suddenly appeared behind her. He turned Tommy around so that he couldn't see when he grabbed Lucy by the back of her neck and forcing her to bow with his other hand. She hissed in pain.

"You will show respect to your future king." Izumi reminded coldly.

"H-huh? Sis?" Tommy tried looking back to see what was happening but Rin appeared before him, lifted him up and took him away in a blink of an eye.

I made a movement to take just one step forward but Izumi's glare directed at me made me stop from doing so.

'Did he just really glare at me? The fuck?'

Lucy growled and gritted her teeth but stopped shortly after. She let out a sigh then apologized sincerely for snapping at Romanov and for her earlier behavior towards the guards at the gates.

Feeling satisfied, Izumi released her then shot Isaac a pointed look before walking away. Isaac quirked in brow in question but followed anyway.

Now it was just Lucy, Romanov and I.

We both stared at her as she stood, her head facing the floor with her hair shielding her face. She was rubbing the back of her neck.

It was quiet.

However, Sebastian made his presence known when he made his way to my mate's side informing him that his father had summoned him.
