Kage's Pov

The cold air nipped at the exposed skin of my face, hands and legs. Each time I inhaled a deep breath of oxygen my lungs burned in pain.

The motion I felt of myself being carried in someone's arms made me stir from my slumber.

Slowly my senses returned but weren't functioning properly. When I opened my eyes the first thing that greeted me was the breathtaking sight of the very bright full moon.

My brows knitted in confusion. What?

My eyes drifted a little to the left settling on the lower jaw of Abbadōn. My mind was very slow to realize that the wizard held me bridle style, carrying me to wherever.

I felt like shit.

I felt as if I was heavily drugged and my body was working overtime to expel it. I didn't even have the energy to speak. My mind was in complete disarray as I tried to make sense of the situation.

Where was I? How did this happen? I didn't even remember falling asleep!

It was then I had a flashback that got me into this situation.

Flashback

"Whatever you say, princess."

Right after Dylan disappeared from my mind and even before I could question his tone, heavy knocks pounded on the room door then stopped.

I narrowed my eyes at the door in suspicion. I knew for sure it wasn't Abbadōn. That bastard didn't care for using doors when he could just use his magic.

The pounding started again but this time whosoever was at the door started to pound in beats as if they were making music.

Unamused, I shifted my right hand into claws and made my way over to the door, the chain rattling as I moved. I wasn't in the mood for this so I wasted no time in grabbing the door knob with my left hand and twisted it to open the door.

The second the door flew open I came face to face with a very familiar face that left me shocked for the 100th time again today.

"YOU!?"

He smirked. "Yes, me."

I lounged at him but the chain reacted, pulling on my left ankle and dragging me back into the room, harshly.

I landed on the floor with a heavy thud but immediately got back up to my feet. I glared at the chain before directing my glare towards the fucker who could be considered part of the reason why this mess started in the first place.

The fucker laughed at me as he stepped through the door. He grinned widely before sassily placing his hands on his hips.

"Hey toots."

That's right. The supposedly 'dead' forth commander of the Argyris army was standing right here in front of me with that same smirk plastered on his lips.

"I thought I sent your head fucking rolling!" I growled out. One huge difference I sensed with him was that he was no longer a fucking lycan but instead oozed the aura of a damn wizard.

(A/N: Refer to Chapter 3 when Kage remembered why she was transferred to the wolf pack in the first place, and also remember about how Romanov and others would question how the 'commander' even got that position in the first place.
