Third Person's Pov
After Kage had found out that Romanov had a little sister, she was gobsmacked yet again. Romanov noticed she was practically spaced out for the rest of the conversation but didn't say anything to her.
After all the decisions were wisely made, that marked the end of the discussion. Everyone in the room split ways and started to prepare and do what must be done. Romanov, however, stayed to talk with his father a bit more.
"I'm going back to the Pack."
Xavier hummed in response. He looked at his son expectantly to explain why.
"Kage needs to check up with her care-taker for health reasons."
"Why? Is there something wrong with her? Is she sick?" He asked, taking a glance of the said hybrid girl who was leaning back on the couch and staring up at the ceiling in deep thoughts.
"Well, not exactly." Romanov told a short and quick version of what had taken place a month ago with Kage and the half vampire targets; also informing him of the potion. His father listened intently.
"Hmm... interesting. Alright. We still have a week left before we have to leave. Since tomorrow's Saturday I shall allow you both to leave early in the morning. But for now, just let Kage rest for a while since she's been through a lot this morning."
Romanov nodded. He got up and took his mate's hand into his own, leading the way to the door.
"Just remember, we leave next week Friday. So make sure you're back here by Thursday night." His father called out.
"Yeah, I will."
"Also, I'd like to know the name of her care-taker."
His son turned around to look at him. "Kage used to call him Dr. Taylor but she now calls him Adam. He's a werewolf. A very peculiar one at that." He turned back around and exited.
Watching his son disappearing through the door with his hybrid mate, his lips formed into a thin line.
He sat down on his chair behind his table. His head leaning back against the chair and facing upwards at the ceiling. His brows furrowed. Xavier was lost deeply in his thoughts as he stared at the ceiling.
After a moment he exhaled deeply. He sat up in his seat stretching a bit and shaking his head then going back to finish his paper work.
'It's not him... it's nothing. It's just a coincidence.'
⋯☬⋯
Romanov stopped in his tracks shortly after walking a bit down the hall and turned to look at Kage.
She was looking down at their joined hands with a goofy grin.
The Argyris raised a brow in amusement. 'What is she thinking?'
Kage's Pov
'I bet Rose is cute! Does she has her father's features? Or her mother's?'
"Kage..."
'I hope her personality is like-able....'
"Kage..."
'Why am I getting so excited over this?'
"Kaaaagge..."
