Chapter 16

Kage's Pov

It's been four hours since we left the Pack. We were heading towards the Argyris Palace but we were not alone. Well, we were at first but let's just say we were 'caught' by some of the body guards on the way.

After we landed pleasantly, I waited for him to let me go even though I strangely felt to stay in his arms a little longer. He, however, kept on walking, heading towards the woods were my 'home' was.

"Hey! I can walk! You can let me go now!" I struggled to free myself with absolute no effort. I just squirmed a little.

He looked down at me. "I'll never let you go." He continued walking picking up the pace a little but then started to run.

I looked away trying to control my blush and managed to succeed. He started to jump from tree to tree at a fast pace. I liked how the wind cooled my face so I closed my eyes a little.

A question came across my mind so I opened my eyes and looked back up at him again.

"Hey, why are we going this way?"

"I parked my car at the house." He curtly answered without looking at me. I pouted a little.

"Then why didn't you just park it in front of the Pack building instead of doing all this?"

He jumped down the tree at looked at me with those eyes I secretly admired.

"Some of the palace guards are already here to get us. However, I don't like all the fuss and hassle they come with, it's annoying." He stated. "Also, I want it to be just the two of us so I can get to know you better."

All I could do was jus nod. I then realized we already reached the house.

I looked around for the Lamborghini but what I saw instead was a luxury black shiny hummer. It looked very costly.

"Where's your other car?"

"I had a friend of mine take it back to the palace yesterday."

I nodded. He strolled towards the car with me still in his arms.

"Can you please put me down now?" I said with just the slightest bit of irritation in my voice. I liked the warmth but I didn't exactly like being babied.

He was reluctant but let me go. He opened the door for me and I quietly thanked him as I got into the car. I watched as he opened his door, got in and closed the door. He turned the key and the car roared to life.

We backed out on the track until the main road came into view.

I sat in silence lost in my thoughts.

'Damn it. I wanted to attend Music class and see Lucy too.' I mentally sighed. 'But then again, I won't have to face all those students....'

I sneaked a glance at Romanov.'What was his parents' reaction when they found out?'

I was about to ask him a question when he suddenly asked one himself.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked.

"Umm..I was just wondering....what exactly did the King and Queen say when they heard I was your mate?"
