Chapter 39

Kage's Pov

When we finally walked through the doors that lead back inside the mansion I was expecting to be immediately mesmerized by the interior of the building.

But what greeted me instead was a big ass ice shard coming towards me at an alarming rate, aimed to impale my chest.

Before I could even blink an eye Romanov's hand shot out and grabbed the shard at a very impressive speed before it could make contact with my body.

He then crushed the ice shard with his bare hand into smaller pieces. He did all this with a bored expression and seemed to have somewhat expected this to happen too.

I quirked a brow at him before turning my head to find the source where it came from.

My eyes landed on a lycan girl who was sitting on a stool that was around what seemed to be a bar. She was turned towards us and her right hand was set in a way where you could tell she was the one who just threw the huge ice shard. She was clad in a beautiful royal blue sundress that reached just below her knees.

What caught my attention first though was her pure white-silver-like hair that touched her waist.

She had fair white skin that looked as if she's never been outside in the sun for all her life. Thanks to my enhanced eyesight, I could see that even her eyebrows and eyelashes were also white. Her eyes, though, were a beautiful brown color with a silver rim surrounding it.

Her facial features were very unique. She was obviously gorgeous and I could immediately tell that she was a Royal lycan due to the dominating and powerful aura that was radiating off her.

She almost had a blank expression but the furrow of her brows hinted that she was somewhat glaring at Romanov as if she was pissed about something before her gaze shifted to me. Her eyes widened just slightly in shock before the corner of her lips curved up just slightly.

"Who is she?" I asked, not breaking eye contact with the girl as she advanced towards us.

"She's the cold hearted ice princess, that's who." As Romanov finished answering another one of the huge ice shard was thrown his way. All he did though was simply sidestepped, making the shard fly pass his head.

My attention was now solely on the girl's right hand that was now producing a thin layer of ice before the ice slowly went away.

'Ice manipulation....huh....'

"She's still sour about that little prank you pulled last year, bro." Issac snickered a bit but stopped shortly after when the girl sent an unamused look his way.

Isaac was sitting in a chair around a table beside his twin who paid no mind to his brother at all.

Rin was just simply watching us all with amusement from the same table she was seated at with the twins. Tommy was situated on her lap while he drank the water from a freshly chopped coconut.

She then shifted her attention back to me and was now standing in front of Romanov and I.

And let me just tell you.... this girl was fucking tall. Her height of 6'0 towered over me and made me feel small. Romanov, though, was still way taller than her. Lucky him.
