Kage barely registered the simultaneous shouts of her name when she fell to her knees gasping for air. She gripped at the blade of the weapon embedded in her chest.

"No! No! No! Oh goddess no!" Panic seized Rin. She too fell to her knees as she eyed the glaive, Kage and Tommy frantically. Tommy was already slowly dying and now Kage too! She didn't know what to do! Oh goddess!

The others banged against the barrier, desperately clawing, using their strength and their powers to diminish it. With Lilura now dead Lucy could finally use her voice. She screamed out her brother's and the tribrid's name as she too clawed desperately at the barrier.

Abbadōn fell to his knees in despair when his eyes met the life-fading ones of his Elaine. Crimson dribbled down her chin and onto her impaled chest where more of the crimson dripped from.

She looked him dead in the eyes as she gathered the unknown strength to yank the blade out with a pain-filled groan then jamming the blade into the earth. More blood expelled violently and dyed the white gown red.

Romanov watched in horror when she violently coughed up blood and saw that the gaping hole in her chest wasn't healing as it should have.

"KAGE!"

Abbadōn's shock was so great the barrier disappeared and the others definitely wasted not even a nanosecond to zoom their way over.

It was as if the life had been sucked out Abbadōn. There was no way his beloved would heal from the fatal wound. His eyes widened. She was going to die.

At that very thought his tensed shock ridden body relaxed as he mind blanked. He had given up. What good was life when he couldn't rule with his love? He was going to give up his life too.

The last thing Abbadōn saw was Kage's eyes flickering from hot pink to her original eye color before his head was viciously ripped from his body. Courtesy of Evangeline while a fully shifted Romanov simultaneously ripped through his back, claws exiting from Abbadōn's chest with a heart in them. The two Adams savagely tore apart the rest of his body in rage.

The others stayed back to give Corinna and Koralina some space as Corinna took on healing Tommy to the best of her ability while her mother did Kage. Their hands were glowing brightly, trying to heal them. But it wasn't working for Kage.

Corinna had managed to expel the poison from Tommy's blood stream and heal whatever internal and external injures he sustained. His skin was no longer a deadly pale but still looked sick nonetheless. The only problem was that the poison was associated with a difficult spell. Corinna could only hope that Tommy had not slipped into a coma. She moved on to healing Zeuxis and Rin.

The glaive was a gift from the god to Abbadōn that created him many, many years ago. Anyone- any being- who gained wounds from it, would not heal. The sole purpose of the blade to completely destroy its master's enemies.

"Damn it!" Tears threatened to spill from Koralina's eyes but she kept trying anyway.

Every breath she took was strained. Even through the absolute indescribable pain and disoriented senses, Kage's thoughts were on her mate. Not wanting to witness him lose control and harm someone to be the last thing she sees, she called out to him with a struggle.

But he heard her.

In a blink of an eye he was towering over her figure. Heavily breathing as if he just ran a marathon, blood clung to his shirtless torso and hands. She didn't care as she reached out for him to embrace her.
