The entire chamber filled with U.A.'s staff and faculty were at utter shock. Silenced echoed through the four corners of the room as they contemplated on the underground hero's recent discovery. Although the quietness of it was broken until their tiny principal spoke.
"I see. If what you are telling us is true then... can you kindly elaborate the details about it", Nezu looked over to the man beside him as he urged him to talk.
The Erasure hero responded with a slight nod then proceeded with his explanation. "There are two reasons why I came up with this conclusion and judging by the sequence of events that had occurred beginning from ten years ago until recently proves my point that [First Name] [Last Name]'s quirk is different and not harmful at all since the effects of her quirk ultimately depends on the state of mind she is in"
By that moment, everyone's attention was entirely focused on Class 1-A's homeroom teacher that even the usual loudmouthed Present Mic was all ears on his best friend.
"First, we will start with what happened 10 years ago. Ever since [name] had been taken in custody, all other files about her and her family were made classified by the government that is why I had asked Detective Tsukauchi here to investigate it for us", Aizawa gestured to the officer at front to begin.
"According to the little information I had gathered, the first case of [name]-san being able to activate her quirk was on the day her parents died. Ten years ago, some time during summer, a serial killer had escaped prison and was running about the town where the [Last Name]'s had supposedly lived and it just so happened that he found refuge in their home. Both of [name]'s parents got killed and [name] witnessed the entire event unfold. As a result, she had managed to unconsciously activate her quirk and use it on the the killer which eventually led to his death"
Most of the the teachers were surprised to hear that a child who was barely 5 had to witness such a thing. Hearing the tragic story of the young teen's past had made the atmosphere inside the meeting room turn gloomy. But to have her ability forcefully awakened due to a traumatic experience was not uncommon.
"When we looked up the serial killer's autopsy and we found out that he died from a sudden cardiac arrest which led others to believe that he may have experienced a Nocturnal or Nightmare Death Syndrome. Unlike a normal heart attack which is inherited or acquired through unhealthy diets and other factors, the N.D.S. is sudden and there is no known cause for it. With that said, we now know how they came to classify [name]'s quirk and effects"
Before anyone else could interrupt, Aizawa went straight to his second reason. "Next is how [name] has lived during that 10 years. When she was under the custody of the facility, there was a 96% chance of her running amok and using her quirk uncontrollably. But compared to when she's here under U.A.'s care, the chance of her going berserk has went down to only 4%. The utter difference between the two places has greatly affected her state of mind causing her to change the way she has used her quirk"
"You mean it's because he's been taking care of her is how she changed, right?", was a quite loud whisper from Hizashi to Nemuri which made the rest chuckle and turn heads away from the glaring raven haired man. Despite this everyone was in awe about how all the different circumstances managed to add up and how it could've all been prevented if only things had taken a turn for the better. Yet there was just one question that lingered in the other heroes' minds.
The Space Hero then raised his hand in question of the Eraser Hero. "We get it and all but can we know how you managed to come up with that conclusion in the first place?"
"Well that's because I experienced it first hand. I had [name] use her quirk on me while we were training during the week of the internships" All of the heroes' eyes seemed to widen at the latter's blunt and uncaring statement. "I was aware of the consequences if ever my hunches proved to be wrong but it was a risk I was willing to take and I'm ready to take responsibility of what may have happened afterwards"
You can't take responsibility of anything if you died, were the simultaneous thoughts that went through everyone's mind at they heard his undying resolve. Well... Who knew the very logical and rational Eraserhead would do something so reckless?
"That settles it then!", an exhilarated and excited Nezu commented as he stood on his chair. "I was thinking of having [first name] [ last name] admitted here in U.A. as an official student but now, thanks to Aizawa-sensei, it makes everything less complicated. Once she learns to control her power then she'll be removed under your custody and can live a normal life like all the other students"
A sudden pang of pain shot through the pro hero at that moment. He didn't know why he felt uneasy when the principal had said what he did but it just made him that way and his three most closest companions noticed the slightest change in his expression.
It wasn't long after that when they were all finally dismissed. The week of the internships had finally come to an end and Aizawa would soon be reunited with the rest of his class. Of course [name] was already made aware of the pro's recent discovery and it would be apparent that she be the most delighted one to hear the news but the result was rather contrary. She had been quiet and was usually deep in thought. And that Sunday night wasn't an exemption.
[Name] was lost on thought as she gazed at the view of the clear night sky. The raven haired man could understand what kind of shock that his news brought about the young teen but the way her eyes looked filled with wonder made him feel... worry in a way.
It was now half passed nine in the evening and they still had an early schedule for the next morning so he had the both of them rest early. Aizawa laid on his back and was staring blankly at the ceiling, random thoughts filling his mind. As he and [name] got comfortable under each of their own blankets, the young teen turned to her side to face her guardian's direction. His stare didn't falter until a light mumble was heard from his companion. He turned his head to the side and studied the girl, her [eye color] orbs locked with his.
"Thank you for telling me everything, Aizawa-san"
"You're welcome. Now get some rest"
"Yes, sir"
