Just the night before their big day, the teen had visited Aizawa's room to consult about her hero name since during that time she was still recovering. She was told that when they receive their licences, their hero names would be included. It was one of the things going through her mind while she was training but was discouraged to bring it up after she felt turned down by the pro.

She knocked on his door before heading inside. [name] found the pro typing away on the computer. It was as if her presence had gone unnoticed. She moved closer to the male and finally caught his attention. He had her sit down while he reviewed the paper at hand. No words exchanged between them as he asked Midnight a second opinion through the phone.

"Your hero name has been approved. Psyche Hero: Phantasm"

A light smile was brought upon her lips but quickly disappeared as the uneasy silence within the room took over. The teen had excused herself without a second thought and left the pro to himself once again. An exasperated sigh left his lips before deciding to call it a night.

Just when he plopped on the bed, the screen of his phone lit up. There was a text message from Shinobu.

'I'll come by to watch the exams tomorrow' , it said.

The pro just replied with an 'Ok' then tried to get some rest. Flashes of their conversation from weeks ago had come across his mind as his eyes battled sleep.

"Adopt her?", was a surprised reaction from Present Mic. "Not to be rude but how can we trust you?"

"I know you have all grown fond of [name] and I understand that you won't be able to put your whole faith in me considering that I am the brother of the man that had put [name] through incredible hardships but trust me, I truly care for the child"

The tome in the man's voice felt like a plea to the pros before him. Aizawa also felt a bit hesitant to entrust [name] to this stranger but it just reminded him that he himself was once a stranger to the child and it took him a while to gain her trust.

"How about this then... After the provisional licensure exams I'll take my wife and son to see [name] to better introduce ourselves to her. After that then Eraserhead can judge if U.A. can entrust us with [name]"

It was only logical that the raven haired pro do verdict since he was the one who had been spending most of his time with the child but... why so soon?

"I understand. I agree with your proposal", the man's positive response to Shinobu brought a great shock to both Mic and Midnight. "However, if this adoption fails then U.A. will have to forcefully take her back and find her more suitable families to adopt her"

A confident smile was plastered on the latter's face. "That sounds fine by me"

The next morning, Aizawa awoke to the sound of his alarm. He lied on his back and just stared blankly on the ceiling.

"Just a dream, huh?", he murmured to himself. He wouldn't admit it but Shinobu' s sudden appearance to check up on the child had bothering him greatly which resulted to his cold behaviour. It just reminded him that the attachment he had built up over the few months they had spent together may affect both his and [name] 's decision making and he didn't want that. He had to think logically, rationally and objectively about this because time obviously wasn't in his hands.

That same day was the day of their provisional licensure exams. Participants from different schools from all over Japan had come to the National Dagoba Arena where an exam will be held. Only those from Class 1A had come to the venue since Class 1B was registered to a different place to avoid fighting against the same school. Overcoming this obstacle would lead them a step closer to their dreams of being pros.

The tension of the competition brought about fear, anxiousness and excitement when a group of students from Shiketsu High School arrived. An elite school that rivaled U.A.. Their presence caught everyone's attention especially a certain first year that rivaled or was even above Todoroki, one of the top students for recommendation.

The thrill of the exam had been fueling everyone until that specific day arrived but [name] wasn't one of them. Some part of her still couldn't get over what happened the other day during training. She knew that it was senseless thinking about it but something ached inside her chest whenever she recalled his icy monotone comment.

After a serious discussion, a cheerful call came booming into the group. "Eraser? It's you, isn't it, Eraser?"

Aizawa flinched and stiffened as he recognized the voice calling for him. A feeling of irritation flowed through every vein of his body knowing that a certain loudmouth had arrived as well. And just when he was finally away from three other loudmouths he knew.

"I've seen you on TV and at the sports festival, but its been a while since I've seen you in person! Let's get married" The unexpected statement of this new character had the pro's students reacting in their own ways. The way they threw retorts at each other proved that they go way back.

[name] had seen her guardian interact with Midnight and her other female classmates countless of times but how he talked with this female pro had her feeling queasy and uncomfortable. The teen bit her lip in frustration not because of the situation but because she didn't understand whatever she was feeling.

"Hey, change into your costumes and go to the orientation. Don't waste time"

Aizawa headed straight inside the building when he caught a sight of the silver grey haired doctor waiting nearby. He was in his work uniform so he definitely stood out from the crowd.

"You know you can just head inside instead of idly standing here", the pro commented as he approached the man.

Shinobu replied with a chuckle that made his aura shine bright that it felt like it could blind anyone. Aizawa wasn't sure if this was an act or if his personality was just that genuine but he had no intention of putting up with another ball of positive energy because he already had too many of them to deal with.

"Sorry 'bout that. I won't be staying too long though. A client suddenly called in for a checkup so I'll be going anytime soon", the disappointment in the man's voice was too obvious that it made them look as if they just argued from a different person's perspective.

Is this guy a child?, he mentally commented. He was too simple and easy to read. He was the complete opposite of his mad scientist brother that cared for nothing but himself.

"I understand. Just make sure you come on time. I'll also brief [name] of--"

"Please don't!", the sudden interjection had surprised the pro. "I mean... Please don't tell her just yet. I don't want it to be a meeting that she has to brood about. I want her to enjoy her time and make her decision after she has met us. So please..."

"I understand", Aizawa had then turned heels and proceeded inside.

"Thank you very much", the man bowed in gratitude as the latter disappeared into the distance.

A/N: Hey everyone! I've been thinking this over and I have finally decided to end this part and proceed with the new part that doesn't rely on the anime storyline itself... Hope you guys stay tuned until Book 2... Love you so much 😘😘😘
